It's taken me a week but I finally finished building it up:

For commuting duties - seems like a nice ride. I couldn't find many images of builds when I was looking to buy the frame (size medium)

I love that colour. That is the main contender to replace my London road.

As said above, that cherry red colour is real nice.

Looks too good for a commuter perhaps? Lol

Gravel
Road

It may have taken meandyuk a week, but after fannying about with flats and now drops, it's taken me about 3 months to complete my full monty sl build. Luckily I've had the SS bizango for commuting duties.

This is great! Mine's still sat in it's box. Should get it sorted in the next couple of weeks. Going to be used mainly for road riding, but with the odd gentle bridleway and some trailer pulling duties!

I have can see me leaving the road wheels/tyres on most of the time. Got a great deal on some 32mm Goodyear eagles 🦅 they are comfy, hold up well on gravel and pretty fast on road. They also went up tubeless without the slightest hitch

I did have it set up with all manner of flat bars and stems before taking the drop bar plunge. Originally spec'd a 100mm stem (xl frameset, I'm 6'3") but just didn't get on with it. Swapped down to 80mm and it's like night and day.

Very nice, got there in the end - liking the drop bars/shiny bits. Mines going strong still after a couple of months commuting. I've put some 32mm conti road tyres which made quite a difference 🙂 Enjoy!

I ordered the same this week, built up with drop bars.
I've gone for the interest free option, which was not available on the XLA, £65/mth for 10 months. I had a look round Rutland Cycles last week, they had nothing below £1200 that was similar in spec, so ordered the PX on Monday. Being built on Tuesday, so maybe with me at the end of the week.

Here we go! Complete with a lynched Mary Poppins 🤔

Very pleased with it. Base spec taken from my donor bike at the moment, but will probably change a few parts over time.

Gravel kings 32c, the slick-ish ones. I've not set them up tubeless yet but I intend to give it a go at some point.

Here's mine. Just added a Selcof carbon seat post - which has made a decent difference to reducing road chatter, shorter stem and WTB Resolute 42"s. Rides nice and plush - really happy. Just looking for a decent lighter wheelset that won't break the bank now.

The headset supplied on the full build is this one

Selcof Integrated Cup Angular Contact Cartridge Bearing V2 Headset for Tapered 1 1/8th 1.5 Fork Steerer

It's £50 on PX but there's cheaper alternatives out there.

Luckily for me, my existing front mech went straight on, but I'll be honest, I don't know what size it was!! The donor bike was a 2016 CDF 10 with all standard equipment, it's all gone straight over.

Front mech size is 31.8 🙂

Good to know you can fit a 42mm tyre in!

I'm not sure 42mm would fit with a front mech though... My 38mm is a bit tight.
