hey guys bit of a newbie question, if I'm putting cx tyres on my 29er do I use 29er tubes or standard road tubes?
cheers in the advice
can only be done tubeless with unicorn tears as sealant
It depends on the size of the tyre.
The wheels are the same diameter (28") but 35mm tyres would take different tubes than 55mm (2.2")
so regular road tubes?
You can get wider 'tour' type tubes for 30-40mm for e.g. these cheap Contis
any point in making the 29er in more of a hybrid with a skinnier tyre
Yes, but ask in the shop when you buy them.
As well as the wheel size, you need the tyre thickness figure too.
So look for something like 700 x 28c to 37c for the cross tyres.
XC 29er tyres would be something like 700 x 45c to 60c
