Hi all. CRC and Wiggle want 67.99 for the City Navigator SD card. Just wondering if there's a way to get Europe mapping without too much spends.. ? I see DC Rainmaker has a way with free software downloads--looks like a right faff, though. Anyone tried this or got other options?
Ta,
Rob

I use Openmtb mapsping. Great support, easy walk through how to's, for windows and mac.

Global mapping available, including contours.

If it's for road I use the open street map ones. They've been fine so far. I think it was just a case of downloading the file and copying into the right directory on the garmin.

OSM are far better than City Navigator off road too. In fact... I have the OS maps for mine, and think OSM are better than them.

OSM for me and I use "mapmyride" for modifying others routes that you can't directly upload to my 810.

Cheers for replies. Looks like I need to give OpenStreet Maps a whirl. Fingers crossed, getting it on a microSD card will cause minimal headaches..
