Replacing my scales bb. Like for like with a bb71 41. Was expecting a tight fit and to need to use a press but they push in by hand and can actually move them very very slightly. Is this normal? Should I locktite? It's not a 42 bb as already made that mistake a 42 is too big

When I replaced the one in my Lurcher I thought it'd need the headset press, nope pushed in by hand!

Hmmm been doing lots of googling many different types of loctite recommended if it's loose. Looking at the old cups some sort of bonding was used. But concerned of the bb being able to move and damage the shell if it isn't in tight

Think I'll try a £5 bottle of loctite before I go down that route....
