Right then, the sun is out so I’ll get my bike out of the shed.

Would anyone fancy a night ride tomorrow (Wednesday) with myself and Mr Derekstarship?

8:30 meet at The Church Inn, Prestwich
2 hour ride round HTN courses, Hurst Woods, Ladyshore, Outwood etc.
Pint or two of Olde Bishop’s Tadger and a bag of Bombay Mix to finish.

Meeting point HERE

Come on you lot. Get those lights polished and charge your power cubes.

It's gonna be a balmy ride on (possibly) dusty trails. Work up a thirst to be slaked with a pint of Cobbler's Thumb* in a fine hostelry.

*may not be an actual brand of ale.

I might come if you're prepared to go pretty slowly...

Was that the story they're writing about him saving the kittens from drowning? Or the literature award he's picking up from Lancashire Libraries?

Last bump for the lunch time shift.

The trails will be dusty, the cobbles will be lumpy, the berms will be bermy and the beer will be spot on.

Well that was a good laugh. 15ish miles, dusty trails, a bit of banter, four of STW’s finest and 1/5 of popular beat-combo Elbow (he has on the next table sat outside the pub).

Suck in those guts lads!

We will have to do this again.

Imagine how you would have looked if we'd told you about the 60ft drop to the side of that ridge we rode in the dark?

Next time bring a lighter bike 😉

Think everyone had the DX/Smudge/Spokeshirts type.
Plenty bright enough, 'specially when riding in a group.

Just had a look at Smudge's site.
He's doing some very decent lights for £57.00.
Bargaintastic.

Oi! I'm not a cheap basstard like you lot! I paid £100 for my Airbike SL2 I'll have you know.

Meh.

The Smudge V2 was a very impressive bit of kit though.

I've got the Airbike lights, wonder what I'd get for them- only used three times!

I like my SL2. It has lasted well and is nicely put together.
