Any recommendations for a pub for a post ride pint in Hayfield? Probably be covered in mud, so nowhere too fancy.

The Sportsman is always welcoming to us, as is the Kinder Lodge. Good beers in both too 😀

Yep, Sportsman makes a good start/end point for Hayfield rides, mainly because there's parking on the roadside up there.

The Lamb Inn on the A624 just outside Hayfield is also good

Another vote for the Sportsman , only discovered it 2weeks ago and have been in twice since.
Very welcoming everytime and great food and beer, saw a group ride(Hayfield Hub?) go from there the other week so appear bike(and dog) friendly.
