would be the small be any good in a 2.5 tyre?
Cheers Tracey, ordered 5 chains to get free postage, will keep me going for a while.
posted a few on hukd earlier, not much about

North wave Rockit Plus shoes down from £150 to £25 here…
https://www.edinburghbicycle.com/northwave-rockit-plus-shoes
Thanks for that. Don't like the colour but at that price I'll live with it. Lucky they had my size although I hope a 45 in NW is the same as my current Shimano AM5 in 45!
They seem far lighter than the AM5 which is what I am after. I'll probably sell the Shimanos for £20 so can't go wrong with a £5 upgrade, fingers crossed on the sizing.
I always find shimano small in sizing, but then with Northwave I also got some and they were slightly small so you may be ok. It says a 45 is 11 doesn't it but for me 45 in northwave felt more like a 10 but then a shimano 45 is a 10.
Waitrose had chocolate Panettone reduced from £12 to £3. I had to have one!
Various neighbours and family have brought 4 to us as gifts. Waitrose x 1, M&S x2, Morrisons X1
The Morrisons one was half eaten then made into a form of bread and butter pudding... 😋

Well ive just had an email saying my NW size 45 shoes have been cancelled. So if anyone gets any that dont fit, id be happy to take them!
Ian
That's a few times that has happened with Edinburgh cycling co. Seems like their stock control software isn't real time.
Yup my new shoes cancelled too
Mine cancelled as well, wonder if anyone got them?
I got my shoes.
I did actually wait unit they'd arrived before I posted up here as I was expecting them to be cancelled as I've had the same with them in the past.
My shoe order was cancelled. Would think twice about ordering from them again.
My shoe order also cancelled:(
I ordered a pair of the Rockit Plus from Tredz for £43 which actually turned up.
Tried to order the Northwave Mistral road shoes from Edinburgh but also cancelled…
Had nothing but hassle with Edinburgh bike co op in the past
Wiggle still have silly prices on DHB road shoes if you can find your size.

Why? An order you didn't really need was canceled due to massive customer over ordering that their system wasn't built to handle?
They're a good company but not the kind that can just magic stuff out of thin air.
Evans are still doing some good deals on shoes as well, picked up some trailcross XTs for £42:
https://www.evanscycles.com/clearance/clothing/cycling-shoes
Cheers @Tracey, I've also nabbed 5 chains for my Levo to chew through... 🤣
Why? An order you didn’t really need was canceled due to massive customer over ordering that their system wasn’t built to handle?
Any online system would have a view of stock levels and decrement as orders are placed, then make the product unavailable when all stock is sold. Over ordering cannot happen other than odd ones or twos if the stock count is out.
It sounds like they deliberately or accidentally made stock available that they don’t have, or at a price they don’t want to sell for.
T&Cs usually protect the retailer so it’s at the buyers discretion to decide whether that’s enough to boycott a retailer - the reality is that most of our principles can be equally matched by the desirability of the product and the level of discount being offered in the future.
Just a heads up, Scotby Cycles in Carlisle is closing down. The retail shop is shut from today, it’s mail order, or booked collection for the next 3 weeks. Prices will be reduced on the website in due course. Stuff that hasnt sold will be in a ‘massive’ (their words, not mine) sale on the 25th to 27th Jan. at the shop. If anything is left, it’ll be sold off really cheap via the website. They still have some of the GT gravel bikes at £999. My OH bought a Cannondale Trail 6 at half price today (£312), I picked up a £10 jersey and a 400 lumen/80 hour light for £20.

Sad news - think I’ve ordered a few bits and bobs from them the last few years
Sad times.
I bought my first proper MTB from Scotby Cycles, a Marin Bear Valley, back in about 1996.
CRC/Wiggle
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/shimano-rt56-180mm-rotor £2.99
100% gloves from £3.75 / knee / elbow pads £5-9
Crank bros m17 and m19 multitools £12 and £14 each at Go Outdoors.
Just grabbed a m17 as a spare and there was a further 15% off so only £10.20.
Assume this is in-store only as there's nothing on the website.
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/shimano-rt56-180mm-rotor £2.99
resin pads only on that. Good for a bimbling bike though
Are these similar quality to the topeak mini 20 Pro ones on wiggle about a year ago, they were about £7 I think which was impressive.
Ordered some 100% stuff, thanks.
There's also some cheap NS Bikes stuff including wheels and a Dura Ace under bottom bracket rim brake for £6!

1515g wheelset for £188 - anyone got a pair?
Have had an M19 for years, always rated it as a great multi tool. Shame they're out of stock.

I can't find much info on them at all. Looks to be a HG freehub. There should be a XD driver available.

No Microspline freehub though?

1515g wheelset for £188 – anyone got a pair?

I can’t make my mind up about these… that’s a great price, but I guess not such a bargain if they just sit under your bed like two pairs of my so far unused superstar wheels. I’d like (not need) a pair of nicer wheels for my Fargo… not sure these are the ones but then again… hmmmm
No word on how wide the rim is, my guess at that weight would be not very.
24mm internal rim I believe. They look nice but tick a lot of 'things I don't want on my wheels ' boxes, hard to find freehub replacement, straight pull spokes, 28h.
I did order some 100% shorts, jerseys, gloves and a NS DH hub though. All I need now is a cheap set of 83mm cranks.
Inspiral cycles are selling off my chosen pads for £10 a pair - I thought these were really good value when I found them at £16 a pair a couple of years ago! They are really consistent and give noticeably better modulation than other pads, and stood up to alpine descents that racematrix pads didn't even last an hour on.
They have pads that fit SRAM brakes in stock for the same price.
Hmm, as a household of two types of 4-piston shimano brakes, that is both useful and needs a warning of not fitting all 4 piston shimano brakes.
Feedback workstands are back in stock at Wiggle & are at the same discounts they were previously.
They were all out of stock before Christmas.

offbondage lights are great here you get 2600 lumens for £14 !
Aliexpress also have some cheap Shimano dynamo hubs.

needs a warning of not fitting all 4 piston shimano brakes.
Do go on, I was pondering getting some for when I go back to Alps.
pretty sure Zees and Saints are different? to Deore, XT, SLX etc
Hmm which of those similar prices feedback stands is best for home usage.
.
NX dub groupset - £199
Not as good as last year, but still a reasonable price
They fit both the mt520 caliper and Deore m6020 calipers that I use them in so assume they'll work for slx/xt also. I always thought the pads for zee/saint were the same as well, maybe Matt's alluding to the 400 series brakes?
NX dub groupset – £199
or for shimano fans: SLX groupset for £225

vitus bikes have gone really cheap deserve there own PSA
Some Vitus mountain bikes stupid low at the moment including ebikes on wiggle/crc
deserve there own PSA
Oh here it is https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/psa-vitus-bikes-sentier-27-vr-349/
This thread seems to have become THE thread for PSAs, which wasn't what I intended.
I think we are getting more PSAs posted with it than if everyone had to make a thread though. But the bar for a PSA here is lower, so mega deals aren't obvious on the main threads page and people might not notice them.
Don't know what's best really, but also not my call.
thought I'd go own thread for those Vitus hardtail bargains,
this bike Vitus at £1.8k looks a steal, but not worth its own thread.
Don’t know what’s best really, but also not my call.
A separate "Deals & PSAs" forum might work - they could even have the odd sponsored post (e.g. CRC's deals of the week) to generate a bit of revenue.
Anyway.. lots of discounted DT Swiss rims over at Biketart at the moment.
Thanks for the PSA on the 100% gloves. Bagged a couple of pairs.

BUT whilst browsing the other discounted items to try to get my basket up to £20 for free delivery I stumbled on SRAM missing chain links. 11 speed ones in silver for 59p each!
This thread is costing me a fortune 🤣
For some reason I have just bought eight quick links to go with the pedals, shoes, jacket and loads of stuff still in the packaging 🤔
Yeah I wish I’d never found this thread….currently trying to avoid the Vitus thread as I don’t need to buy my wife a new bike
I had a pair of those 100% gloves arrive today. They're tiny.
I'm not a big dude and the large barely fit me. If I'd paid more than a fiver I'd change them.
There are still some 20" Nukeproof Cub Scout frames for £35 if anyone's after anything for a child's build.
https://www.wiggle.com/p/nukeproof-cub-scout-20-youth-mountain-bike-frame
if you could get a rear wheel cheap I would...
I filled my boots with the 11 speed power links. They realised that I must have 15 pairs of 9 speed SRAM links in my spares box that are now of little use to me,.
11 will work on 10 and 9 speed so are more useful!
I've gone for one of the feedback stands. Been using a cheap one for years that broke and the cheap replacement is crap. Hoping this will be the last one I need to buy.
Also tempted by a Feedback stand
I got some of those cheap DT rims, I've already got some bargain hubs and the correct spokes but didn't expect such a good deal on the rims so soon
Which rims? Missed those.
BikeTart, I got some xm481's for £46 each I think. It says they come with nipples and washers so seems a pretty good deal
Nice price, decent rim. Yes they should have both nipples and washers. Only downside is silver nipples if that bothers you.
Thanks, I bought some XM481 as well.
I am after some rims for my 12yr olds Ragley build, XM421 looked good but aren't reduced in 27.5. The other option in 25mm inner are the X432. Will be using with 2.35 tyres
There are still some 20″ Nukeproof Cub Scout frames for £35 if anyone’s after anything for a child’s build.
I got one of the 24" frames to build a bike for my kid. The issue is all the other bits, 142mm hub means custom wheel, 24" tyres aren't cheap, cranks are tricky to find, etc. it's a great deal (other than the postage) for the frame but the rest of the build is def awkward.
Based on the news, been looking around and there's 50% off oranges at sunset and nearly that at the factory shop. Takes them from awful value to reasonable (rs 35 silver on a £4k build? Wtf..)
