I'd a project 2 fork i just got on ebay delivered by Hermes.

As per usual, i get up, make a coffee, stick on the tv and watch the news before going online, a quick scout about threads/sites before looking in emails. To find its been delivered and is sitting at the front door.

I've been up since 7am,parcel delivered at 12:14 and heard not a thing from the front door. no door knocker, nor bell or anything.

That company really is a shitshow

Placed 2 orders with Wiggle on the 7th March with the EXTRA10 code (after the 10am cut-off mentioned by @ogden on the chat). Was expecting them to be cancelled but changed to 'order processing' about an hour ago today when coincidentally I was just about to see via chat what the craic was. Have another order using the same code from the 8th so will see what happens to that as that's still at 'order placed' status.

I notice that the two orders that were cancelled, have now been charged to my CC. Seems like things are not working properly at all.

Heads up - anything older than 28 days is no longer covered by warranty by wiggle/CR - found an issue with a not used maxis high roller i bought back in September - once I fitted onto a wheel yesterday i found ts got a big wobble in it

CR have just replied to say anything older that 28 days they wont do warranty on any more due to company being liquidation now

@only1mikey Given one fella on chat said to me last week they had 1-3 weeks left I didn't wanna risk a stuck order either way. I've just reordered without the code and it is already processing.

Bummer, Maxxis tyres are rotten for that eh.

Might be worth trying the UK importer, though CRC/Wiggle almost certainly sourced it from elsewhere.

@munrobiker - I’d wait about 10 minutes as Evri are a bunch of morons and unless you have a great local van guy they make no effort to do anything (especially at depot or higher level).

I placed 2 orders on the 5th.

One shipped on Friday & they tried to deliver to my office at the weekend, hopefully they'll retry in office hours.

The other is still processing, I just spoke to the chat support & they apologised for the backlog and expect it to ship by wednesday.

I've no complaints as I appreciate those who are left there are overwhelmed & getting a load of grief.

Monkeyboyjc any info on the Komraid stuff, it looks really nice tbh. The only thing is I’m not really much of a KOM kind of a guy so…

No experience of them myself but I've only heard  good things. Closing down sale apparently, owner says Brexit is the main cause.

This Tacx Neo trainer has dropped to £521. Presumably £468 with the 10EXTRA code

https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/b/tacx

If I didn't already have a trainer that never gets used, I'd be tempted to buy a trainer that I'd probably never use.

Nukeproof Outland shorts now down to £15, XL and XXL remaining

Bargain at this price - I bought 3 pairs last week at £20 and thought I did well. Similar to the Blackline short but no zips on main front pockets is a pain.

Echo that, they're brilliant. I find them quite warm but I generally run hot it seems. Although I'm 187cm (6'1.5ish), 89kg and find XL perfect for me.

I wasn't going to risk as CRC purchase, but i've been waiting 8 weeks for this to drop in price

https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/leatt-body-protector-reaflex-stealth?color=black&sizeStandard=XXL

I was wanting some new armour for some UK stuff but also for Morzine later this year. But £300 is way too rich for my blood... £133 though, i'll risk that on the Credit Card for protection.

Fingers crossed.

Hopefully the same as the nice Nukeproof one I got for £22 the other day.

I keep checking CRC to see if any alloy stays are gonna appear for the latest Mega, surely they had some stashed for warranty claims, they had almost everything else, swing links etc but only carbon chainstays for £50 added so far, they had plenty of both stays for previous models going back to 2016.

That sort of purchase has Tri_Sports_Resort (Wiggle ebay shop) written all over it. Save a search and get Ebay to tell you if any come up

I bought a set of the Lyriks last night, £214 with the 10EXTRA code.  Decided to pay £5.99 for 'Next Day' delivery to try to rush them through and avoid having the order cancelled.

They're out for delivery today with Parcel Force.  Some of the old Chain Reaction Cycles magic still lives on!

Can't see the screenshot but assume it's this text:

Hi folks, we're working hard to get your latest orders to you as quickly as we can.
We have a smaller Operations and Customer Support team than before to get your orders out as soon as possible and really appreciate your patience.

Our Customer Service teams are really busy supporting you and we recognise that lead times for responses are a lot longer than we typically like so please reach out to us on chat during the week for emergencies as we won't be able to respond to all emails.

We kindly ask to only send delivery queries if you have not received your confirmation of order. We will fulfil all orders placed on the websites. Sending us duplicate emails only increases our work to get through and further delays responses.

As always we are here for you albeit in different circumstances than we've encountered before.

We thank you for supporting us.

Is there any way of getting an alert if prices drop?

I've still got a few things in my basket that aren't quite reduced enough to be PSA worthy, and I don't really need so they'd irritate me more if I bough them now and the price dropped than it would if they just sold out at the current price.

Not that I'm aware of (althought I expect someone smarter than me will have some solution).

There's plenty of things I've bought over the past couple of weeks that've since been reduced even further, but such is life. I'm still more than happy with what I paid for them. I'd be happier still if CRC/Wiggle weren't in this situation and would continue to exist though.

DT78, the Brand-X droppers are good. You should be able to terminate the cable at the lever, so they should be as easy to route as any other.

I have a jamis highpoint i am looking at getting a dropper post for? It says seatpost measure 31.6 x 400. I can see the only size in the brand x is a 30.9 now. Can these be used with shims? Also is there a big advantage over the Internal routing. I guess an external one would be like running another disc brake cable from outside the bike along the frame so not as nice amd yoi have the bulk of another cable running ay the side of the frame?

I installed a dropper on my scale about a month ago. It's a 2022 frame, had to remove the bb as there's an internal mini lip/shelf just above it that the outer cable binds on when feeding through for the first time. Not hard just a bit fiddly.

Something odd was happening with those small Nukeproof Mega frames at CRC, clicked on frames and they'd gone but a separate search showed 6 still in stock, checked again later and they'd sold out, theres a giga frame without shock that wasn't there before or maybe I just didn't notice it, are they still discovering stuff in the warehouse.

I caved on the dropper for £35, mine is slow to return and a new air cartridge is going to be £25 so it is a no brainer.

Probably now they’re getting down to low stock levels, they’re able to do proper stock checks and align what’s held on their order management systems compared to their warehouse management system.

I inagine there be odd things appearing and dropping off as we get to the last days.

Easy as, take the drive side cable blank off on the head tube, drill a hole to take the outer cable, take crank and BB out, run cable through now drilled blank, down the down tube and up the seat tube to your dropper. Put BB and crank back in, job done in under an hour.

You'll need a 31.6mm to 30.9mm shim, but they're cheap on eBay, get a 100mm long one so the theoretical minimum amount of post is supported - it's exactly what I did on my Scale last winter.

that @mtbroutes page is awesome. if you want to find all products sorted by discount, open that link (desktop), press f12, and in the console whack the following - it should show all in-stock products sorted by discount amount. For some reason its not working 100% - the items are sorted but also grouped so it goes 99->0 a couple of times. no idea why - maybe a parent div issue or something, I haven't done js in about 20 years

$(".productList").first().html( $('li').sort(function (a, b) {

var contentA =parseInt( $(a).find('.discount_percent').text().replace('(', '').replace(')','').replace('%',''));
var contentB =parseInt( $(b).find('.discount_percent').text().replace('(', '').replace(')','').replace('%',''));
return (contentA < contentB) ? -1 : (contentA > contentB) ? 1 : 0;
})).show().parent().show();

Just received one of these, I paid £18 and am happy at that price (now £10). Nice soft material, looks and feels almost like cotton. Good fit as well, slightly longer in the body for cycling.
