They're not sewn in. It's a seperate pair of undershorts.
How many of us have a stock of a variety of bits and pieces that we didn’t need but they were cheap on CRC/Wiggle?
Having learned my lesson with Superstar wheels I was doing OK and only buying stuff I need… until I bought a Vitus Sentier that is sitting un-ridden in the shed. I imagined I would use it but now I’m not so sure… so I’m not sure I’d call it a bargain.
I feel a separate’what was I thinking’ thread.
Three sets of handlebars, just in case, and a gorgeous stem in a colour that matches nothing.
Although 2 of the handlebars are in big rise to try on my clunker. £7.50 each sooooo…
Sorry if this has been done but Merlin are selling a workshop box of Shimano gear cables for 1/3 of its RRP. Good timing as I'd just run out of the 50p Clarks cables CRC were selling around a year ago. 100 seems excessive but I counted up 15 gear cable systems in use in the house at the minute, and sure, they don't go off...
Not as good a deal as the box of 100 Shimano stainless steel gear cables on ebay for £40 couple months ago. Doubt we'll see that again.
Just bought some endura humvee 3/4 shorts for £25.55
And endura humvee zip off trousers for £33.99
And an extra 10% off with code EXTRA10.
I should be good for quite a few years now
Are those Merlin cables stainless steel?
It doesnt say so, and mentions anti corrosion coating....could they be galvanised?
Specialized camber MIPS white helmet all sizes but small £13.60 code OUTLET20 add £4.99 delivery
https://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/brand/specialized/camber-mtb-helmet-930663
Up to ~£30 with delivery and discount code now .... still a good deal though ...
Very similar prices on Specialized Outlet webstore plus many other helmets, sizes and colours ....
https://www.specialized.com/gb/en/c/sale?group=Helmets%2520%26%2520Helmet%2520Parts
If the picture on Merlin is correct then those inners are stainless. I still have a pile spare in the classifieds for less than that if anyone needs to stock up mind..
did anyone get on of the cheap exposure diablo mk3 sync last week, mines arrived today and no "QR handlebar mount" in my box, as per description and pictures,
to be honest i think the listing is incorrect as you dont normally receive one with exposure lights.
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/exposure-diablo-sync-mk3-front-light-pack
Beware on the Camber helmet, the straps are in a VERY weird position and the rear one sits on top of your ear instead of behind it.

Three someone with a similar issue in the returns thread, they got a voucher for complaining
https://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/crc-wiggle-latest-risk-a-return/
@whatyadoinsucka I did. Listing was wrong and it wasn't supposed to be included. I argued that isn't my fault and they gave me a £20 voucher.
"A bargain is only a bargain if it’s what you’re looking for!"
This is true - which is why I'm claiming this, if they turn up (and I know its an If...) as the bargain of the century. Wanted some 'nice' XC wheels for ages, just nearly bought some used crossmax on ebay for more than these have cost.
Zipp Hitop S 30mm Carbon Wheelset. RRP about £1300.
£286.
https://www.wiggle.com/search?query=hitop
I've just had my order confirmed. I made sure it was confirmed before I posted here.
The even fancier one with ridiculous electronic tyre pressure monitoring is not even that much more either. at £399... The pair. RRP about £1600.
Mountain Warehouse backpacker tent
(corrected link) https://www.mountainwarehouse.com/backpacker-lightweight-1-man-tent-p284643.aspx/
use FUN20 to get a further reduction, brings the price down to around forty five quid, has anyone tried one of these?
weight seems good but not sure about the way it seems to open up, fine if it's not raining but if it is it could get things pretty wet?
wheels went out of stock before i could check out
I think I got a Pro5 / Fortus 26 rear wheel in boost 29er size for £62.
Confirmation email doesn't specify the exact hub setup though, so I'll be waiting in suspense.
thx for the headsup
Yep, similar here. Found the perfect wheel and it went out of stock while checking out. Found another with a SRAM instead and bought that. Will see what, if anything, turns up
Got a SRAM Red AXS power meter for £200 (cheaper than replacing rings on my current one!). There's dual sided ultrgra PMs for £199 too...
Similar here. XX SL T-type power meter crankset down from £1200 to £220!
I don’t need it but it looks nice 😂
I was all ready to buy a power meter and then remembered it's still £200 I'd rather spend on something else. Did end up buying some other crap though. Fingers crossed it all turns up.
I feel for all the staff who are going to be working hard right until the end.
centre lock hope pro5 hubs 18.99
https://www.wiggle.com/p/hope-pro-5-front-centre-lock-hub
you ned to put them in the basket for then to show as 18.99
Power metres out of stock pretty much. Shame I fancied a road one.
On the subject of hubs
Industry9 rear hubs for £139 isnt bad https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/industry-nine-torch-boost-rear-hub?color=black&freehubBody=Shimano%2FSRAM+HG&holeLengthRelease=28H+%7C+148mm+%7C+12mm
Ultegra 11 speed chain set £52 and deore ones £23.
Forks are under the hammer too, Lyrik ultimates for £212, Z1's around the £160 mark
175mm hope spiderless crank....
The full fire sale has definitely started. There's good deals on shoes and helmets
https://www.wiggle.com/p/troy-lee-designs-stage-mips-full-face-helmet-stealth
Stands out for £60
crankbrothers highline 7 droppers 55
Might be getting tied up in the rush to buy something but will these wheels fit this bike?
https://www.ragleybikes.com/products/big-al-1-0-hardtail-bike-2022
yes
Got to look at Wiggle, Chain reaction prices are higher for some reason?
Bleedin Wiggle site won't work for me. Had to reset my password as one I thought I had didn't work. Now it is asking for my one time passwood code to activate my account. No idea what that might be and where to get it. So went to my Chain Reaction account and the same thing there is still £120 rather than the £30 on Wiggle 🙁
https://www.wiggle.com/p/rockshox-lyrik-ultimate-charger-2-1-rc-debonair-fork-oe-721604075

Light grazing so far. Expensive sram 1x11 cassette down to £70, grx 810 shifters +1 caliper around £100 and a ixs body armour top down to £40. All stuff I've been looking at for the past week.
The wheels went really quickly!
Thank you @whatyadoinsucka for your noble Public Service Announcement on this thread
Was able to pick up many desired and high quality products at ridiculous prices
I would have missed out for sure without your prompt - many thanks
#BringBackSearchByDiscount
Oof - appear to have missed out on a SRAM xg1299 cassette for £80… 🙁
I bought some commuting tyres https://www.wiggle.com/p/continental-contact-urban-tyre
Seem to get a good review on https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/tour-reviews/continental-contact-urban
I am tempted by a set of 27.5 forks for daughters next bike, though was also thinking of going straight to 29!
this fire sale just cheapens everything, mt500 shorts £18, I could wear them for a year and stick them on vinted for £20 :0)
did anyone get a silver hope pro 5 boost 6bolt 32H, only thing I wanted but all gone,,
will make do with black, had to buy two to get the micro spline hub, will switch the Shimano HG and move it on
non-boost 26" Pro 5 wheels still £61.Perfect for the other half's Bfe. Shame its got an XD freehub, I'll be looking for a HG one when the wheels arrive.
Fox union boas, 2 leatt t shirts, leat clip 6 shoes, ixs pants. £130. Bonkers.
Also put a second order in for aeroe fat racks. £22.50 each.
Bought 3 so I have 3 cradles. Still a couple left.
Hope they fit my normal bike! I think they will...hope so!
enduro bearings 99p-1.99 if you know your sizes
I've ordered 2 x 8 speed SRAM 1050, 1 x Tiagra 10 speed and 1 x SRAM 1070 10 speed and a 105 chain ring. All needed as spares for current bikes. Like others, not ordering anything I don't need. Two cassettes will go into use very soon.
Some great prices on walking boots. It's painful going through the size options, though. Various sizes in stock, various prices depending on size!
https://www.wiggle.com/c/outdoors/footwear
@el_boufador - prepare to be disappointed. There's no way my fat Aeroe will fit my B+ hardtail.
anyone need a zee 36t chainring £2.99, quite a few old Shimano double treble speed chainrings, starting at 99 pence
the worlds most expensive elbow guards have a 81% saving down to £23
https://www.wiggle.com/p/fox-racing-launch-elite-elbow-guard
stock levels small (7 in stock) /medium (5 in stock) / large (10 in stock)/xl 2 in stock
One of these left if it works for anyone?
https://www.wiggle.com/p/hope-fortus-30-pro-5-rear-wheel-6-bolt
Hope Fortus 30 Pro 5 Rear Wheel (6 Bolt)
Low Stock
Colour Black/Black
Wheel Size Axle Spacing 27.5" | 142mm x 12mm Axle | Non Boost
Freehub Body Shimano MICRO SPLINE
And again if anyone ended up with a HG freehub they wont be using give me a DM 🙂
My favourite kneepads, 81% off in M or XL, now £15.99 (a bit more in L): https://www.wiggle.com/p/ixs-flow-2-0-knee-guards?color=graphite&sizeStandard=XL
Taking a chance - as I'm unsure on sizing - on an Assos winter jacket to replace an ancient Altura Varium I bought yonks ago in Leckies in Falkirk (as did several from this forum at the time), 80% off: https://www.wiggle.com/p/assos-equipe-r-habu-winter-jacket-s9
Missed out on the Pro5 hubs - would've been nice to upgrade Mrs a11y's wheels but TBH she'd likely not appreciate them anyway!
I've been looking through the old Shimano stuff. Got a 105 46T 110 BCD to go on the CX bike £7.99 - it's all 105 except the FSA crankset - 46 IS the big chainring !
Lyrik Ultimates for £212, don't mind if I do.
@scotroutes - cheers. Just found some dimensions buried in the aeroe FAQs.
Looks like the fat rack is 200mm wide across the stays, and also says it can flex in by 20mm each side (so should flex to 160mm officially). Just measured my hardtail stays at 140mm....so another 10mm flex...might work?...Hmmm maybe.
Worst comes to the worst I could chop a section out of the middle and join the tubes back together, or even just get another tube fabricated (it's not rocket science is it).
Cradles are surely worth £22.50 each if it doesn't work and I need to sell them, so think I'll stick with the order rather than cancelling I think.
Always fancied a go with the aeroe system it looks great for doing proper off road with a fair bit of gear.
I was thinking of a new pair of Hope Hoops for my HT , turns out 27.5 non boost Centrelock is a niche too far 🙄🙄🙄
Does anyone know of any good deals on 160mm centre lock rotors, XT/XTR or equivalent pretty please?
Picked up another Ebike. This one is a basic E-city commuter type, far better suited for going into town on, and is 1/12th of the price of my current ebike, so locking it up and leaving it wont present any anxiety.
.
https://www.wiggle.com/p/buzzbike-h700-urban-e-bike
£499- or £479 with 10% off and postage added. Says RRP £2499, but they were never that and previously crc had them at £1250, which seems about right. So all in all a good price.
Dyna-ti I saw that bike last week then lost it. Would make a great commuter, although I’d end up blinking it out with sale parts! Shame I missed it.
Ladies Buffalo mountain shirts at 60% off.
Various Merrel and Berghaus hiking shoes/boots around the £25-30 mark on wiggle. Not much left and bit of a jumble sale size wise.
Really odd how there are lots of products with some variants 80% off and others at full price! Doesn't seem to be a pattern to it.
Some superb bargain Crankbrothers shoes on Wiggle today, sadly not really cheap in Flats, but some clipped ones like the purple ones are bargains.
Boo, Hope rear wheel order got cancelled. V4 rotors dispatched but nothing on the front hub order yet.
Camelbak Eddy 0.75L bottle, £2.99 down from £20.
And if in doubt, try the SAVE discount code. No idea what products it's applying to but it worked unexpectedly on an order last night.
Boo, Hope rear wheel order got cancelled. V4 rotors dispatched but nothing on the front hub order yet.
Opposite here. Front hub cancelled, no news on rear wheel
Front hub shipped , but wont be surprised if it does get cancelled
nothing about wheel
highlights and stuff i bought
leatt flat shoes
leatt 4 helmet
leatt gloves
tld jersey
endura mt500 splash proof trousers, packable jacket
and the pads mentioned above
I had a couple of hope wheels cancelled yesterday as well, does mean I’m getting free shipping of the socks that were also on the order.
I ordered a hope wheel and subsequently realised I'll need to buy a steel freehub for it for the ebike which is actually 90 quid, so hopefully mine will get cancelled to!
does mean I’m getting free shipping of the socks that were also on the order.
#winning
No cancellations for me yet, but no dispatch notifications yet either.
No dispatch notifications here either. But I guess they're having to send a truck especially for me 😁
Well if everything turns up this thread has either cost me or saved me a fortune, depending on your point of view...
Balls, ordered a set of the 27.5 Lyrik ultimates last night 😀
Cannot believe the variances between some of the costs on wiggle vs crc eg I ordered a pair of those purple crank bros shoes last night for £27 from wiggle but on CRC the same shoes/size would be £90 less EXTRA 10 so £81. Also Troy Lee shorts there (also ordered) there are big differences too.
Still waiting for the dispatch notification as well, admittedly
Just snagged a few pairs of my favourite Leatt 4.0 gloves for £11.99 (I think I paid nearly £50 for the last pair!).
https://www.wiggle.com/p/leatt-mtb-4-0-lite-gloves
I think maybe the fire sale hadn't actually started given the discrepancies in price.
Suprised they haven't just stuck it all on ebay, but they do seem to get a lot of non-paying auction winners given the amount of stuff they relist.
