Not sure about that, looks a bit odd.

Be interested to see what they come up with as an XC carbon frame though.

I'm sure they'll tidy up the look on the production models. I wonder what one of those bad-boys will cost?

Another carbon hardtail layered up by some guy/gal in the Far East. Yawn.

You could essentially say exactly the same about any bike, mtbfix. Even the ones put together by beards. 🙄

"Another carbon hardtail layered up by some guy/gal in the Far East. Yawn"

I wanted to fidn a response to that that would indicate that a) I foudn your post pointless as there's so many frames made in the far east and, whoever makes them, it's the design that largely determines how they feel b) that lots of people on here are interested in £500 carbin hardtails of a proven geometry and design and c) if you find this sort of stuff borign what on earth are you doing on stw?

but nothing pithy sprang to mind.

eBay search for 'Carbon MTB Frame' you'll find a wealth of Chinese frames for about £200, my 18" one weighed 1240g, I'll wager that'll be lighter and cheaper than a carbon ScandAl (ScandCarb?)

We seem to be forgetting that there are not many (any?) long travel hardtails in carbon out there; at least they are trying something different. If their 29er in carbon is £500ish there is nothing else near it in price point (as far as I am aware - Niner £1200ish, GF not sure).

Surely a carbo version of the Scnadal would be the Kevcarb?

WANT! NEED! MUST HAVE!

Will they be colouring them? I hate 'raw' carbon, looks too much like the inside of an M3.

Make mine red please 🙂

Not much of a review. "We've ridden it, but we're not going to tell you what we think just yet..." Thanks then

I think its stunning. They've obviously reinforced etc. Infact- it makes me MORE confident in the prospect of a longtravel carbon frame 😀

Would there be a market for a UK-made carbon frame of same quality for the same price?

That is one ugly frame! Wouldn't stop me buying one if they do come out at £500 or so though.

I could have had a go on this the other week but i was too busy eating a bloody good curry to hear my phone so didn't realise till it was far too late. I think the sample frame looks nicer but then thats wasnt 456 enabled.
