Don't bother ordering any that are 'Available to order' because they're not. 🙁

They'll take your money hapily enough though, then you have to get a refund.

Good price. I ordered a Golden Eye...good reviews and they look good but on my head (59cm cir so went with a large) it looked flippin massive, I thought my Fox Flux looked big but this was HUGE! I got it at a good price (Not as good as JE James mind) but it went back and went with a Catlike Leaf

Ordered one to be told the distributor didn't have any and it was discontinued. Was promptly refunded. Then saw the site was showing stock. Quick call to confirm and I ordered again. Happy 🙂

At 39 it'd be rude not to TBH. I bought a brand new Flux- binned it after 2 rides so at 39 its good to have one as a backup/around incase you need it.

Where can you buy the light bracket/platform from or does it come with?

hora, it comes with a bit of plastic with a flat top that fixes into the top ventilation hole. You can then stick lights/cameras on to this.

Mine arrived today, very pleased with it, especially at the price. As Jam1e says, comes with small plastic adaptor for mounting stuff.

Thanks to the OP for the PSA 🙂

Anyone know what the different options are?
Obviously the sand/white ones with sizes are obvious, but what are the others?

I will send it back as it is not 2nd hand, I'm sure you'll be able to buy it back off them for £40 once they put it back in stock if you're quick

You didn't have to buy it but at the same time you didn't have to be rude.
He was offering the chance to get a cheap helmet that you can't otherwise buy!
Seemed fair enough to me - it happens a lot on this forum - people passing sold-out bargains along. Part of the good vibe.

Hes offering something at cost that he can get a full refund on out of the goodness of his heart (and hassle) yet hes being low-balled as its 'secondhand'? No its not. Have you ever warranted a helmet in your life?!

Are you trolling?

Rude? Me?
Merely stating a point. If you took it the wrong way well that's your problem.
There are still lids for sale on the site (granted not in the colour being offered) so I merely made a reasonable offer based on buying a helmet with no comeback or warranty. That is all.
edit: not trolling. Yes, I've had the clip brak on a Giro Xen. Took it back and got a new one.

A reasonable offer? If someones offering a favour in such circumstances why would you low-ball them? Weird.

So you buy a brand new Subaru. The wife doesn't like the colour so you sell it, just off the forecourt.
It's brand new. How much do you ask for it?

That means all clothes in shops are secondhand then? Weird analogy. Stay away from the weed dude.

iolo - yes that's like almost the exact same identical situation

Although just to humour you:
If it was a discontinued colour that you bought half price and your mate really wanted it, you'd pass it on at cost.

Are you ok today?
All clothes 2nd hand. In charity shops and cool retro shops most are.
I'll think you'll find George at Asda and other fine establishments sell brand new clothing.

If it was a brand new Subaru at less than half price, I would be asking more than I paid. Not really the sane is it ..

If the dealer offered a full refund and it cost £40,000 I think £38,000 would be the lowest I'd let it go for.

An item is worth what people will pay and I effectively have a buyer (J E James) at £39.99

Alexsimon, I'm just speaking Horaspeak. He's not very good with many things but likes Subaru. That's why I used that analogy.

If you buy a brand new car. Drive it off the forecourt you are using it.

If you buy a bike, ride it down the trail then take it back as (insert any reason) they'd offer you a price/or tell you to stick it on ebay).

If you try on a helmet, keep the packaging but not use it for its intended use you can return it for a full refund. No hassle.

Do you struggle with day to day things?

(Please don't drive a Subaru, it has a lo and hi function on the gearbox). It'd scare you.

Hi lo? You have lost me on that. I'm currently struggling with day to day things and my mind is melting with that.
Does it have a gearstick on the roof and one on the floor?
Do you have to open the window to get to the hi? That must be so annoying when it's raining.
I'd rather use a non AWD Honda CRV as they only that the one gearbox.

The colour isn't bad but how would they warrant the initial RRP? Some new tech?!

how would they warrant the initial RRP?

Sits nicely with what people are prepared to pay for their idea of a high-end helmet (eg> one, eg> two

I went out today with my new helmet. It was great on the climbs, didn't even notice I was wearing it.

However, on the descents the front air vents channelled freezing cold Afan air on to my head and I found myself getting ice cream headaches at times!

I must find a way to block those channels!

Apart from that it is a pretty, pretty good helmet

Mine arrived this morning. Not convinced at the sizing claims though. Feels a bit tight (medium size) despite have the same range claimed as my poc (which I have loads of adjustment travel left on). It could just be the rubber thing feeling a bit weird though as we this removed there seems to be plenty of space.

My L arrived and it is enormous!

Not sure its a keeper as whilst the fit (cradle & straps) feels good and fits fine the over all helmet dimensions are huge!

Hmm.

Will check the cost of return and make a decision.

Just remember that it's a helmet sitting atop your head and that everyone can see it-I tried one on and they do look a bit ridiculous hence the low price.

Still, if they work that's all that matters.

I really want to replace my giro xar as the cradle thingy at the back has gone funny but I ant decide what to go for

Rightly or wrongly I want the £40 back that I paid so £45 posted.

Ok, now it makes sense. At that price they're well worth a punt. Ordered, paid, received the thing and oh my Christ they're uncomfortable.
What's with the ribbed rubber brow strips ? And the adjuster wheel at the back that digs in ? Or the rear plastic retention straps that have been moulded to sharp edges that scrape your head ?
It must be a punishment lid.
Anyone else ??
