Cheapest I've ever seen them. Have paid over £20 many times in emergency trips to the LBS. Buy two!

Picked one up last week, they were out of stock for a bit at this price so was glad to see it still at this price when they came back in. Last one I got came in a bag without the adaptor but this one came in tne shimano box with adaptor so really good value. Just hope rhis one lasts better than the 5 months (over winter) the last one gave me.

I usually just do Desire (£12 normally), but XT should have a better seal, possibly better bearings.

Anyone know off hand if this will fit a 2017 Whyte T130rs? Currently running a Raceface Turbine chainset with RF BB. Can’t check now as in the bath!

Saint pretty cheap too - and I assume it's the one with the longer threads

So they need an adaptor to use a standard H11 tool to install /remove ?

Good price , they were £11 a wee while back with adaptor. Seem better than the standard BB51 .

if you read reviews it seems several people have trouble with the adaptor fitting their H11 tools incl a park version ..seems strange but there's a vid on youtube showing this problem too. nothing too difficult to sort though i'd imagine.

I bought one of these for more than £13. Didn’t come with adapter, didn’t know I needed one. It ended up in the spares box.

Some time later I needed to get a new B.B. spanner. Got one with a different size each end as the shop said the small one would fit the xt in my spares box. It doesn’t.

FIN.

I've misplaced my old park BB tool which the adapter fitted into without issue, so I bought a new one (BBT-69.2) but the adapter won't quite fit.

I have this one and the Shimano adapter that came with the replacement BB fits in very snugly and removed my BB93 without any fuss.

A Park BBT-59.2 fits the XT BB exactly with no adapter required.

True enough, but that's another £30 mouldering away in the toolbox. I suppose I'll pick up a smaller BB socket at some point, but I was actually surprised by how good the plastic insert actually worked with the larger size socket, even though it was obviously going to be a complete mess on the older "spanner-style" tool that I had.

Fortunately, I'm quite conscientious about greasing threads on BBs so have yet to have one that doesn't come off with moderate effort. I suspect it might be a different story with one that was put on dry and left, untouched for years...

The plastic adapter has always worked for me. I have a (cheapo) BB tool that I bought as part of a set from Merlin years ago and it squeezes in there with a bit of a "click".
