48 hours only apparently, delivered on prime. At that price it's got to be worth a punt...

Will let you into a little secret it was never 100 quid. Barely worth the 30 quid price tag.

£30 is the right price for that, those stands are always available at a lot less than £100.

Trailrat, I think you're wrong - not about it ever being £100, but what do you expect for £30! It looks very similar to a Fat Spanner branded one that I have (EBC, and a few others have sold them under their own names' too).

Dont expect much for 30quid but id rather have 30 quid and the space that stand takes up in my garage empty and work with my bike suspended fromt 2 ropes than use that hateful piece of crap.

Couldnt hold a Bike in 1 place if it tried. I chased rusty macs bike alround his version of this stand. - he now has a park stand after we changed to use my feedback sports stand and life became much less sweary.

Maybe ive just been spoiled having had access to good quality work stands throughout my working life - but they really do make every job easier.

I think a proper link would help: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BDBikesTM-Folding-Bicycle-Cycle-Repair/dp/B00GMPS388

does look slightly different to the usual one (bronze annodised one) you see for around £60. Metal elbow at junction between the upright and the horizontal arm and different feet.

Main problem I had with one I had was flex in the junction unlike the older ones that had more metal. Worth a punt for £30 I would say.

+1 d45yth, looks very much like the EBC one I have which several sellers brand up and offer for ~£60 (the magnetic tool tray is usually extra) and is worth that, let alone £30. A bit flexible with 30+lbs of big bike hanging off it but perfectly useable, had mine a couple of years and its either permanently up in the garage or taken to events, and as the unofficial club spannerist I get a lot of use out of it.

Well I've ordered one, so will report back. For that money I'd be prepared to put up with a bit of compromise, as it's better than stooping over in the garage to do stuff. Cheers OP.

This is the one people are thinking it is: http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-tools-workstand-49075.html

slightly different head design. No idea if it is better or worse though. Tool tray is a nice addition though, resent the price Feedback Sports charge for theirs. Seriously, £35 for a bit of plastic that doesnt have to be moulded with any precision: http://www.merlincycles.com/feedback-sports-tool-tray-50597.html

They look very much like the one i got from lidl apart from the folding head, i work for fibrax and we have a park tools stand but prefer the lidl stand if im being honest, both work fine anyway, branded stuff doesnt mean better quality all the time!!

Looks the same as the Edinburgh Bike COOP one.
Which I've been using for a few years with no bother.
