Was looking for a Fox Proframe... but Google found me these
Reduced from £300 to £100.
Free postage... i'm in...
Ordered one between Christmas and New Year, very quick postage given the time of year. Would def recommend RM cycles
Indeed, one of those was wrapped under our tree for one of the household. Not from RM, but was similar price.
That’s £100 just gone that I hadn’t been planning on spending today but thanks @weeksy, great PSA.

+1. Damn you weeksy!
Never had a Troy Lee before, does anyone know how they size up?
I’m usually a L/XL but that straddles 2 sizes for TL.
For those thinking about it: we have had two Stages, one was bent around a rock somewhere in the French alps this summer. Eldest says it is much better than many other full face, his old 661 included. So much so that of the 7 of them riding around the Alps this summer, three busted or old helmets were all replaced with these Stages.
I love mine, paid £130 for it I think a couple of years back? Still too sweaty for me to ever wear it for normal riding, but it moves the tipping point where I'd go "too hot/sweaty to wear a full face" a long long way so I wear it loads where i'd never have worn my previous fullface.
Just arrived this morning so less than 24 hour delivery time, pretty amazing for free postage. Looks the part and fits perfectly from the box.👍
Yeah mine is due shortly. If it fits I'll be wearing this weekend.
It states imperfections to finish or damaged packaging, so how are they turning out when unboxed.
So if scuffs etc on helmet or packaging have these been dropped in warehouse etc?
For those thinking primarily of uplift riding - D4s are also £120
That's a brilliant PSA @weeksy.
Can anyone advise on sizing? I'm a nightmare with helmets: 59cm head puts me between medium and large on most brands I've tried. I can't get anything POC to fit me (M 55-58cm too tight, L 59-63cm far too loose). Giro open face such as the Chronicle are loose on me in L 59-63cm (couldn't tighten the cradle up enough), whereas the Switchblade with same L 59-63cm range is brilliant on me.
I most suit Lazer helmets in L (58-61cm), find them really comfy, but their enduro FF helmet is £205.
Don't want to order unnecessarily! TLD sizing suggests I'm at the top of the M/L (57-59cm) rather than bottom of XL/XXL (60-63cm). I'm thinking M/L but I've been stung before...
On first inspection I can’t see any obvious defects or scuffs. Size wise it feels the same as my M/l D3 (no surprise there then), that is to say fairly snug with the original padding. But for comparison I’m a medium in a Giro open face.
I hate it.
Very very uncomfortable.
It'll be going back in the morning.
Sad now
🥲
I love my A3, I hope the Stage feels similar.
Very very uncomfortable.
We all have different shaped bonce's.
Absolutely. My lad tried it and didn't mind it. But he has 3 FFs so I'm not keeping for him.
Bizarre I have an A1, actually it’s my second. Most comfortable helmet I’ve ever had! Would hope the staff is the same
Helmets are most definitely not a one size fits all thing, which is why I'd always recommend people actually test various ones for fit, regardless of how good a bargain they seem to be.
I always hated how the old D1/D2s fitted me so bought Fox and THE's instead, but then TLD changed the fit for D3s, and it fits me perfectly.
I always liked Fox for open facers as they were the best fit I found for me, and think I had 3 or 4 of them. In that time I also got a free Sweet Protection helmet, but it just wasn't comfortable for me so gave it to a mate.
I did tolerate a Giro for a year or so as I also got it free, however once the pads wore a bit, it got annoyingly uncomfortable in ever shorter periods of time.
I eventually cracked last year and bought a TLD A3, which fits well and is still comfortable.
Had me worried earlier re comments on fit, but this shows everyone's head is different.
Mine just arrived - very slight rough finish on polystyrene on one side of the chinguard, and the visor is a bit lopsided (but I'll bend that into shape with some heat. Otherwise very nice finish and build, it feels significantly more robust than the Giro Switchblade this will replace. Superb fit on me with the standard pads. Size XL/XXL (60-63cm) on my 59cm head that normally suits Giro/Lazer-shaped helmets (but not Bell ones). I can't imagine this being particularly comfy on a 63cm head.
Thanks again for the PSA @weeksy.
Now got me thinking about an A3 for my trail lid now that I know a XL/XXL TD helmet suits me.
I seem to have a pretty standard 58cm head, always gone on well with most Giros and have had an A1, A2 and A3, all fit really well. Tried on a Stage in a shop and found it really uncomfortable, no amount of pad tuni g would make it right. I have an IXS Trigger MIPs now (and so do 5 of my mates), they are brilliant bits of kit.
Mine fits lovely, slight roughness to one piece of polystyrene is all I can find.
