Item number 281079181745.
Looks genunie except for the a) lack of paperwork (I asked) and b) frame is apparently 2011 model year, the forks are Talas (seen in the pics), and not 2012 frame/Float DCRV forks advertised.
I accept the seller might've been a bit ignorant about the model year etc but the fact they don't know if they have Talas or Float is a bit strange to me.
Or - and this is quite a possibility - am I just too paranoid?
I Have a mate who doesn't know anything about whats on his bike, he just rides it till it breaks then I fix it for him then off he goes again, he just likes riding , no interest in the bits on his bike, 😀
Are you Poirot?.
Are you jealous? 🙂
Deffo stolen, it's from Bishop, everything in Bishop is stolen.
to be fair I have had 5 or 6 remedy's and every one has had new forks fitted from new.
it isn't 2012, as you say. A mate recently bought a Cube he thought (and was told) was 2010 but when he came to replace the bushings he found out it was 2007...
2010, I had one before a 2011 carbon one. http://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/bikes/2010/archive/remedy8
the seller has had their ebay account for a long time and hasn't sold or bought much. I don't think it looks shady.
Wow, that's funnier, apparently it's 2010...
To me it looks that the item description is not 100% correct at least. The seller may be genuine and honest to the best of their knowledge though.
We will never know I suppose 🙂
snakebite, may I ask - how come you had so may Remedys? Are they so good?
I'm still thiking of a possible replacement for my small-ish Mojo HD and Remedys have always had plenty of room in the cockpit...
Wow, after I sent the seller a link to a 2010 model from this thread they said they'd have to cancel the listing. And did so..
Here goes power of STW..
I have a new one every 8 months or so cos my LBS look after me so well. Versatile bike, not too heavy for all day Peak/Lake Scottish trips, climbs exceptionally well, descends beyond my ability.
