Not sure if this is already knowledge but just got an email saying my trailforks subscription renews in October and the price is going from £24 to £37!

I'm sympathetic to inflation pressures but a 50%+ increase is well beyond even the most pessimistic inflation view

Just renewed ours. Gone up to £29.99. Still think it's worth it for the amount of time we use it in Europe

Not had any emails, so hopefully they are still honouring the early adopters legacy price.

Or, they’d held off raising prices until they couldn’t hold off any longer and raised them in a single large hike instead of lots of small frequent increases.

You can see almost everything on the free one anyway can’t you? I think it tries to get you to set a limited radius home area but I can still see trails outside that limit so not sure what I’m missing really.

My (early adaptor) payment is due this month and looks to still be £12. It's a good tool, even at £3 per month if you use it often enough but a worthy PSA..

Same.  I will find out this week when mine renews.  I guess Outside want more 'champagne for the shareholders' 🙁

Early adopter here too, it's been 10euros per year since I signed up. Had the subscription renewal email for this year but it doesn't say how much it is, hopefully it'll stay the same.

I don't use it that often but it's very useful when exploring/riding new areas or spots I don't ride frequently.

Was the early adapter price (£1/month) not set for life? Or did I imagine that?

Mine seems to be at CA$17.99 pa. I don't live in Canada but the renewal says it's an early adopter price.

I don't subscribe, as it shows very little locally, and even places I know like the FoD, there's seemingly no off-piste stuff listed at all. I know some off-piste stuff was removed due to over use, but am I missing something, as strava heatmaps seems more useful?

Unless there is a heat map function you won't see trails unless they are logged in Trailforks. You may be able to see where others have ridden if they've not set their ride to private, but that will only show 1 person's ride and not a suggestion that there is more there.
Trailforks has had a bit of a clear up of unofficial stuff, but I think it is very dependent on the area.

I've got early adopter pricing which also gives me access to Outside and Velo magazines (meh) but, more importantly, Gaia GPS maps which is absolutely superb for mapping outside the UK

It's been a bargain so far but for some reason my account details aren't loading at the moment - maybe a lot of disgruntled users are logging in to cancel their renewal!

I, too, am under the impression that early adopter pricing was "for life"...

early adopter here. Only ever paid 10 euros. Got my renewal email but don't know the cost but given it was 10 euros for life I'm guessing it is going to be 10 euros.

Email reminder of renewal here too, no mention of any price change, legacy user.

That was the deal, but that was also before Pinkbike and Trailforks were sold to Outside.

I'm managing to simultaneously think "50% increase, that's ridiculous" but also "that's still really good value for what it is". Guess it depends exactly where you are and where you ride but it only has to improve a handful of rides or make or break one or two to be worth it imo.

You can go in the settings on the app and select "manage pro subscription" to see your next payment.

Mine is due in 3 weeks, still £12 for the coming year.

Mine is still saying it's €10 early adopter and renewing at the end of the month.

Early adopter here, too.

Well worth the 10€ a year for the amount I've used it over the last two years across Europe.

Also signed up for komoot years ago. A special offer of 29.99€ for everything. Again, money well doesn't given how often I use it (often in combination with Trailforks) to plan routes and tours.

Having just had a look, my early adopter is renewing early October for £12 as well.

Think mine is a bit odd...I'm a local admin for an area so have Pro for free, when Outside bought it all, I've been moved over to a Pro with Outside, but I can't see any detail on any renewal details, so it appears to be ad infinitum (or until I hand in the admin keys)...

Just had the payment for this go through.

As expected it's €10.

Mine was still the early adopter rate too, not exactly a tenner as I’m charged in CAD but thereabouts

I was late to trailforks so paid £36/year and I'd say it is worth it, I used it loads in Europe on holiday and it is really handy to have when riding somewhere different in the UK.
