I know I probably recommend these a bit too much, but I don't own one (yet!) and IMO they're bloody brilliant.

Kingdom have just launched an updated version of their Vendetta X2 frame with a special Lockdown price for the next 2 weeks, frame only works out to under £850. For a modern geometry Titanium frame!!!

There's no options for custom geo/dropout options/internal routing/tapered headtube etc like on the full custom model, but considering some steel frames are as much as this, I think it's a great deal. The 'raw' finish may not be to everybody's liking though.

my mate has just bought one of these! Although it's locked in his post room at work while he's quarantined at home!

Shame they've taken the ISCG mounts off it, a wee top guide would be ideal on that. And not a huge amount of tyre clearance. Otherwise, even I, a total picky bastard, can't find fault with it.

IF it didn't have a seatstay bridge I'd be struggling not to order it. Tempted as it is.

I'd have been all over the 650B if this had been last August. Bought a Signal instead. Wasn't sure about 29er, but here I am.

How come? The bridge is tiny, almost not there.

Looks like they've reduced the (already short) CS length which has reduced the tyre clearance a little, 417mm chainstays on the 27.5 version.

If I didn't want sliding dropouts to be able to run SS in winter I'd be very tempted right now, I'll be after a custom model (XL size with L standover, sliding dropouts, internal routing, polished finish please) towards the end of this year if funds allow. 😀

Just being picky, I need to find fault to prevent me buying.

Seriously thinking about this, but slightly worried about the preorder part. How long is PayPal protection for this?

If it helps, all their frames have a long lead time, it's normal, I think they're all made to order (all other frames have custom options that you can change). They're very responsive on email/social media, being a small company - drop them an email.

That's really tempting! How much do they normally sell for?

Mine is the internal cable routed, curved seatpost brace version. Retailed for £1500 5 years ago, then they brought out the more value options with external routing and straight supports.

I think TF Tuned sell them for £1250 whilst Kingdom normally sell for €1250 or c.£1080.

The other hardtail versions start at 300 euros more (1250), with all the options ticked on the custom model it's 1700 euros.

Had my X2 (the basic version) a couple of years now, im 6' and ride a size large. Perfect size for me. Run it with 130mm 29" forks, either with 29er wheels for more XC but currently setup with 27.5 30mm 2.6" wheels for fun singletrack, suits both. Fun bike, versatile frame. Bought mine for £800.

Got any pics of the raw welds/finish? I think I prefer the polished finish but it's hard to tell sometimes.
