Never really seen these on offer, been meaning to replace a pair of mine which the plastic body is nearly worn through.
Been hovering over the checkout button for the last few days on some XC6s, then saw the price drop.
Some are out of stock like the XC6s but bagged some XC4s @ £30 a pair which is an absolute bargain.
Road models and cleats also on sale.

At that sort of price you could afford to replace them every couple of months. Which is fortunate... 😉
I've never used anything other than Time pedals.

I picked up the MX-2 pedals, but only because my well-used shimano equivalents had developed some play and I couldn't be bothered trying to fix them.
Everything bolted together fairly easily, there's no obvious "L" or "R" on the pedals though so you need to work out which goes on which side. Feel is similar to shimano, I transitioned to them without an issue. Fingers crossed they hold up to jet-wash and GT-85 as well as shimano ones do!
