Had one for 6 months, never dropped a chain. A superstar product I will recommend, and what a bargain!

got a 38T on the CX bike having converted it to 1x11 (the best upgrade I've made to the bike), for that price I've bought a spare 38T for when it wears out and a 40T to experiment with.

nice one, OP.

My last one cracked after two months, might be ok for moderate use though. Theres a reason they are 15 quid.

How the he'll do you use a chainring moderately?

Had them on mine & wife's bikes for ages, been absolutely fine and noticed no difference between them and the Absolute Black & Race Face they replaced.

Not subjecting the thing to big jumps, drops or tough enduro stages.

think my CX rings will be okay, then 😀

I used to be a real SS basher but I like everything about their "homegrown" range; quality seems up there, manufactured in the UK, and minimalist recyclable packaging (rings come in a cardboard envelope).

Do superstar not take PayPal any more?
I can't see the option on the website

I noticed the paypal option wasn't there anymore too. Strange.

Ordered a spare 32t in black anyway.

Really? I'm not gentle on kit, but I've not managed to break an IO Ring or any chainring for that matter apart from knocking teeth off them.
I've snapped cranks, handlebars, pedal axles, hub axles, bent and cracked fork braces, brake rotor etc etc.
Genuinely interested, rock strike with no bash ring maybe?

I just bought 2 spares and one for the cx to give it a try.
I want 'Tough Enduro' printed in neon green on a 3/4 sleeve TLD jersey with flames on it somewhere.

Cheers OP 38t ordered for my CX/gravelcore/Bridleslayer...

Not subjecting the thing to big jumps, drops or tough enduro stages

Happy enough with the 32t on my HT after a few months use, I'm probably just not #Enduro^Gnarr to mash these rings into oblivion with radness...

It seems they're just about adequate for the demands of us, non-swoon inducing, mortals... 😉

Theres a reason they are 15 quid.

You're absolutely right, They're on discount today...

What difference will that make to a chainring? Unless you've got a really low BB...

FWIW, had one of these in the big bike for about a year, it's not retaining the chain as well now so I'm calling it dead (though it would still be OK with a chain device). It's lasted maybe 2/3ds as long as my Works one did (though one less winter, so probably skews things a bit more) but it cost much less, so it's a pretty fair tradeoff in terms of lifespan I reckon. Can't really fault it.

I'd still buy a Works over others (they were out of stock at the time) purely because they deserve the business for breaking open the narrow/wide thing and getting the first aftermarket ring to market, rather than going to a copyist/follower. But that's a different argument.

No idea mate, just noticed the crack after a round at Gisburn. Got a bottom guide which wasn't marked.

Yes I have. Transition scout.

Good job it is as a spare 🙂

It's a narrow wide narrow narrow wide chainring, and should of read 32t.
