Not sure, haven't got any 🙂

Just seen it and thought it was a good price. Unfortunately i don't ride often enough to warrant any new shoes. My 8/9 year old 661 spds will have to carry on as and when i need them.

They're good shoes for commuting/spinning/touring/bimbling. I'd say they're a bit roomier than Shimano shoes, but buy the same size you would for Shimano, which is uasually one size bigger than your normal shoe size.

Oh, and I paid a fiver for mine, brand new, boxed, spare laces etc..... 🙂

Received my size 45 today. I'm normally a size 44. The big toes touch the front of innards of the shoe 🙁

Ordering side 46 and 47 now. I suspect it will be the 47s that will fit. That's three sizes up! Why do they do this with bike shoes? My shimanos were actually the same 10 years ago. Should hav known better. Can I be arsed returning shoes for 20 quid?

Mine are a little snug on my big toe, but given how short my commute is and how cheap they are, I can live with that

I usually need a UK 10.5 so going on the size up advice I ordered 45's, what I thought was a UK 11.5 using some site I googled.

45's have been delivered and it say's on the box UK 10.5 and they are a perfect fit. Bonus

Checked on Rutland again and there sizing says a 45 is a UK 9.5

Moral of the story is. Don't trust the internet!

Bought a 42, fits me fine. Thought it would, since my other Specialized shoes are a 42 as well.

Just hoping the 41 I ordered for my Dad fits him as well.

Just picked mine up from the post office, bit snug but also, Ami being a dimwit (almost certainly) or am I missing some cleat plates?

The stabiliser I have three pairs of shoes. I have cleat plates in the plastic clear shoe lace bag in one of the two I just checked. One pair of cleat plates probably missing.

So the 46 fit me fine (I'm 44 normally). The 45s had big toe contact.

The 47s also fit quite well and I might keep them as winter commuter shoes with thicker socks. Might use the 46s as normal shoes too!

45s are going back

Hmmmm nowt in the lace bag. Guffs.

Probably why they're so cheap

Ordered a 44 and a 45 here, as I normally wear a 43. 45 was a bit too loose, 44 just about perfect.

Strangely the 45 (in blue) came with the cleat plates in a separate bag with the laces but the 44 (in black) had them already fitted in the shoe. No way to tell without cutting off the rubber cover section of the sole though!

Quick bump for this thread which I just came across whilst looking for sizing info on these - they're down to £15 now 😉

Just bumping for some advice/experience re: sizing.

Usually take a 45 Shimano Shoe, and a UK 10 shoe.

Thinking a 46 is the way to go?

Need some cheap new SPD’s for “revised” commute starting in January - which includes the school run walk! (So my Roadie disco slippers have to go!)

Regardless of sizing, they're definitely not suitable for winter commuting. Your tootsies will be frozen!

But to answer your question, Mr E takes a size 10 in normal shoes, and bought the Cadets in 45 (for summer riding only).

Ta!

Luckily commute (if I take short version - which I’ll have to in order to do school run!) is 2miles - usually ride about 10-12 miles home though to shake the day off.....

How does he find them size-wise?(and comfort wise?)

Reckon sizing up with some toasty socks could be the way to go for commute duties then!

I've got these in a 46 as they were the only ones left and couldn't turn them down for £15. I'll only use them for summer pub rides. My feet are exactly 10.5 and they fit me allright. Fairly snug mind you but they fit well.

the only way it could be more of a summer shoe is if it was a sandal

IMHO its not even an autumn show never mind deepest winter.

We ordered both a 44 and a 45 (plus some smaller ones for me), and returned the 44 as slightly too small. The 45 will be plenty big enough with a lightweight sock.

As for comfort, we'll let you know next summer . . .

I'm normally a 43 and ordered 44. They are great with slightly thicker socks and have been fine for commuting in the last few Baltic days. With thinner socks you definitely notice the draft.. unless you make some cling film liners like in the old days.

Yeah I paid mine with a pair of Aldi waterproof socks and have been doing fine on the short commute in.

Ordered a 45 and 46, normally wear a 45 from pretty much anywhere (Shimano MTB shoes, trainers) and 45E shimano road shoes.

45 is too narrow and 46 is maybe too long, although neither is uncomfortable or too baggy. Might try them with different insoles (they come with the flat-arch BG insoles for some reason?).

They're built more like modern trainers/running shoes, from a lightweight knitted mesh, they're definitely not going to be windproof!

Managed to find a pair of 46 for £15 - so have taken a punt (usually a 45 in Shimano shoes) so will try them with some sealskins socks. If not they’ll be in the classifieds soon after they arrive!

They’ll be for the 10-15 min walk to school (pushing bike) then a quick 2 mile ride to work.

Can chuck my overshoes in bag for the longer ride home, to help alleviate any cold feet!

46’s arrived today - gonna be too big!

Sending back tomorrow unless anyone wants them for the £15 quid (plus 3.50) postage I paid for them?
