Please give me a reason not to or else buy them all before I talk myself into it!

It doesn't have proper brakes.

It's nice, but I'd not say £2k 'special'.

Depends what you want, to me spending more than 105 money would need a bit more 'ohhhh thats nice', because its not going to be any faster.

Well it's not their top-grade carbon, but that's the best I can offer in terms of reasons not to buy.

its not going to be any faster.

It probably is though.

I assumed he meant paying for Dura Ace over 105 when everything else isn't of the same league.

it's a bargain as a headline, it's their sportif/comfort frame made out of their mid range carbon with a top end groupset on it, and not particularly inspiring kit.

Other than the "ooh bargain discount" or "ooh dura ace my precious" what do you like about the bike and what else can you get for the price?

To offer random alternatives

"ghetto" (but actually terrific) 105 5800, a racier frame from a more boutique brand and has received huge acclaim.

or the more expensive 2015 colour scheme

http://www.paulscycles.co.uk/m7b0s6p5776/CANNONDALE-SUPERSIX-EVO-SRAM-RED-2015

gets you a quality frame (racier than the Solace) made from their 'second tier' carbon (like the Solace), with a range-topping groupset (like the Solace), nicer wheels and up to £330 change from your £2k.

Nothing against the Solace but it doesn't inspire me and advising don't be dazzled by the discount.

Crashtestmonkey ...... You are not helping, Pauls is just up the road! 😀

I love the red & black!

If I liked Sram I'd have had one ages ago. A mate bought one of the 2015s on my recommendation and loves it. I rented a Supersix in Lanzarote and became a fan, kicking myself for missing the Hi Mod frames at Paul's (my size sold out).

I got the 15 disc and while it's a nice bike it's not particularly fast or comfortable. Given the choice again I'd buy something else.
