Found these shorts (that Bikeradar seem to love) insanely cheap in some garish shades, I got a pair in purple for £18 delivered, ordered Thurs evening, turned up today, don't see how they're worth £110 but really nice shorts (colour notwithstanding, they also have turquoise);
Then found them on their website in a more subdued grey, with CODE10 you get an extra 10% off, I ordered a pair for a mate as well so came in at under £36. They also have them on the website in a particularly minging yellow/gold for £15

Fill your boots!
meh, fatty sizes only
😉
I'm a 36" and the large is bang on. If you're a grown man with a waist less than 34" then may I cordially suggest you stop fannying about and get some more beer down your neck.
34"?! jesus I've got a long way to go then, currently certain large clothes shops need to special order in my size! 😳
Oops looks as though I bought the last one, Hoping for some decent weather to use them in will arrive soon. Ty for the PSA
Cheers - got a pair of Turquoise ones
They'll clash nicely with my apple green jacket and blue helmet!
I've got one of the green endura softshells, planning on looking like I'm in an MBR/MBUK photoshoot!
some great scott deals on that site, cheers!
Got me a set too!! Bargainous!! I might wear the comedy comic strip liner by itself on my road bike!!
i wear scott shorts. lovely and light but durable to wear.
black or brown for me 🙂
mine are path shorts
The liner material is pretty thin and also short on the legs (comfy though), you'd need to be extremely comfortable with your sexuality to wear it by itself!
Anyone else find that Scott clothing comes up small?
I'm normally medium, but had to size up on shorts, gloves and jackets.
I also bought this softshell and reckon it's a bargain, good fit for casual and snowboarding as well. It's Gore material too.

My shorts turned up today. I am a 36 waist with chunky quads, and they fit nicely. You may be right about the liner - my wife wouldn't let me out of the house! The liner comes in a very handy little bag, which has just become my "pedal sack" for use in bike bags/boxes.
Hmmm would it look a bit much to get the turquoise with the matching top?
I bought the turquoise ones too, not sure I could pull off the matching top
I would normally go for the purple but my 5:10s and bag are purple so I can't see that looking good.
I'm too tight to buy the black.
I got a pair of these in blue when visiting start up in newcastle at christmas (also got a Scott Goretex Active Shell jacket for £49!) - the liners are white lyrca and very very thin, I use them on the turbo but even concealed from the public eye they make me feel like a pervert.
Got mine today - tried the outer short which I rather like in Turquoise. Not tried the liner yet - might have to try them in private when no-ones in from the sound of things.
I was looking at those too, my gloves have holes in them and I haven't found a suitable replacement.
Cheers dude got the turquiose in large. Google scott shortts sizing chart and it says large for 34" waste.
Must have put some more on as they has medium too
Mine arrived as well today. Absolute bargain, good fit and really comfy so good I've ordered another pair. Also bought my son some Scott gloves for £6!
Thanks for the PSA Dave!
I have those gloves in black. The D30 inserts work really well. They size up quite snug, and feel to small on first fit, but articulate really well, so are actually fine.
Dantsw13 - I'm the same waist/quads as you. what size did you go for? Large or XL?
I went for the L, they didn't have XL when I ordered. I'd say L are snug at the waist even with the zips set loose but roomy around the bum/legs. XL would probably have been ok at the waist on max tightness.
If you are 36+ go for the XL. 36- go L. Both will be baggy on the thighs.
I'm about a 36 so went for the XL. Scott actually say on their site that 36 is an XL, most companies tend to have 36 as a L.
Mossy: I have the purple shorts, turquoise top and gloves. Please do not copy, we will look like a right pair! 😛
I have ordered the turquoise top and D30 gloves but now I'm going to order the purple top and make sure we are wearing it all at the same time. Ha ha ha.
Thanks guys, gone for XL plus a couple of the short sleeve jerseys. Can't go wrong at £14.95 and £12.95!
I now have some turquoise goodness ordered, whether my friends will ride with me will be a bridge i will have to cross at a later date.
Really need to build up my Yeti to get the full benifit though.
if anyones gone purple
crc have the perfect camelback

Trust you!
Deus: The purple also goes well against turquoise Yeti's 😉
just ordered turquoise shorts and purple jersey to "match". glad i don't know any of you lot IRL, we'd look like a bunch of bellends out riding together!
i'll be a right treat wearing this stuff with a blue giro feature helmet, on an orange el guapo...
ive ordered the turquoise and gone for matching gloves too
Kimbers - i've looked for those gloves but can't see the wood for the trees! Can you post the link to them please? 😉
Here you go.

When I see people on the trail wearing these gloves and shorts I shall know how much of a cheapskate they are and refer them to this thread.
I shall point and laugh as I ride alongside then Mossy.
On the glove sizing.. I normally take a Large in Fox/Specialized/Sombrio. The Large in Scott is closer to a medium IMO.
Very nice quality glove with the D30 as previously mentioned.
ae212- would you say the jacket is really a medium?
If you're referring to this jacket
http://startcycles.co.uk/scott-2012-windstopper-mind-tech-cycling-jacket-221580-0077.html
The large they list in stock is definitely more like a medium. I returned a medium as it was too tight!
There's also one in black on eBay for a bit more $$$ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Scott-Mind-Tech-Hoody-black-Hoody-Windstopper-Large-/160991466259
I am of course looking forward to being dazzled on the trails. 😉
Ordered some gloves and matching shorts - can't wait to look like even more of a tool than normal. Need a dayglo coloured helmet as well though really.

I shall point and laugh as I ride alongside then Mossy.
And I will point back at you in my matching gloves laughing at you.
The trails should be quite colourful this summer, no???
Anyone who ordered on Thurs before bank holiday.
Has your stuff been dispatched yet?
I had an email Fri telling me gloves out of stock 🙁
my shorts and gloves arrived today, gloves very tight , shorts very bright !
I got an email with a shipment number on saturday, I assume that means they've been sent.
Thanks for the PSA.
Got some of the shorts and a gilet so far - waiting for more shorts, a jersey, gloves, another gilet, a softshell jacket and a DH top to come.
Seemed daft not to at those prices.
I got this gilet, but in white and yellow.
Really nice quality and fit (normal roadie sizing, ie. large if you're medium in civvies.
I ordered early on Thursday and got a dispatch mail on Friday. Hopefully it was delivered today while I was off work. I will find out in the morning.
Wore my Mind shorts today - wish I'd bought another pair as they the most comfy shorts I've got. Great fabric.
Hopefully mine arrive. Been some sort of issue with my order that they are looking to resolve.
Was looking forward to purple shorts!
First pair I ordered turned up really quickly but have been waiting for 2 grey pairs for well over a week. Missed a delivery today though so hoping that's them. Reckon they've had a few orders, hope everyone gets their gaudy swag!
I've had my mind shorts for almost a year and apart from being a little big they're the best shorts i have!
I sure hope no one looks at me on the trail and thinks "he only paid £15 for those"....
I have mine now too, they are a little bright but that's fine. I went to buy some more today and they are sold out of all but the black. I wish the turquoise top had the black section at the bottom. Its a bit ott as it is. The D30 gloves are great too, a little tight putting them on but really comfortable.
Rest of my stuff came today.
All seems really good quality, well made and cut.
Wore the "Minus" gilet yesterday for a windy 30 mile ride and I'm really pleased with it. Bargain for the 25 quid I think I paid.
😀
Got the jacket today, looks great, fits nice. Going to be used on teaching days on the bike, they won't miss me!
Got mine today. Very nice. Will be making their debut in Alpes Maritime next week.
Got an email saying they didn't have my shorts asked if I wanted alternative or refund. Replied asking what the alternatives are, haven't heard anything since 😕
Got an email saying they didn't have my shorts asked if I wanted alternative
that happened with my order last week, and after a little bit of email to-ing and fro-ing i got a despatch email on tuesday afternoon.
i suspect they're insanely busy with this little lot!
Is there a James Rintoul in the house?
Just been for first ride in my purple shorts, teamed with my green Endura softshell. The wife took one look at me, shook her head and said "oh dear". But she's German so what would she know about taste. Exactly. Have to say though they are the nicest shorts I've owned. I hate restrictive shorts and these are anything but.
The two large grey pairs I ordered turned up today along with a medium pair for the fella mentioned above, have spotted his phone number on the invoice so will let him know. I'm getting the impression Start aren't all that competent when it comes to online orders.....
Quick question for all you purple pant people.
Whats the pad in the liner like?
my shorts and gloves arrived today, gloves very tight , shorts very bright !
+1
I'll look like a dick but they seem good quality. Thanks for the PSA OP.
Pad is comfy, not the thickest, plushest around one but no nappy bum syndrome, nice fit.
Liner short isn't up to much. Useful for cycling round to a friends, on a social ride with the other half or on a commute maybe. Purple shorts are spot on though. Trade on those is closer to £50, so full on bargains all round..
Looks like they're only just setting up online. All the Scott stuff was originally listed on startfitness instead of startcycles. Also the stock levels were inconsistent with the eBay account, which is prob why some of you are getting out of stock e-mails.
Liner short isn't up to much.
I've only done a 20-mile CX ride in the liner (under bibs), but I was pretty impressed with it.
Fair one. The cut isn't great for me and the gripper on the leg doesn't keep my leg warmers up, padding is quite good though. Depends what you're used to I guess.
The way I see it, the liner was a bonus for the price paid.
