I was looking for 29er rock razors. Found these 27.5 x 2.6 addix, super trail folding tyres at merlin for £12.95.

I guess a lot of frames don't take such a wide tyer. A bit of a bargain if you have the clearance.

If anyone spots any 29er razors at a good price can you drop a link? Thanks

Blimey, they were £20 for several weeks anyway, which was a bargain. I guess it's not a popular choice in that size.

There's loads of bargain Schwalbe 650b tyres on Merlin, not quite £12.95 bargain but I got a soft supergravity Hans Dampf for £20. Unsurprisingly there aren't any 29" bargains.

Nice PSA that, just got a Big Betty Soft Super Trail for £25 posted. Perfect for the rear as a winter tyre for the Rocket.

Are those Michelin wild enduro magi-x worth a punt at 30 quid,  are they more draggy than magic mary up front.

Cheers, just ordered the Rock Razor 2.6, will it be similar to my current rear 2.6 Maxxis Rekon?

Faster, bit less braking grip, better edge grip. Awesome rear tyre as long as you can keep the air in it, which can be a bit hard.

Anyone know what the actual spec is of these? Merlin clearly have no idea. If it's the snakeskin, as described, then it's a fairly old tyre but also pretty delicate, the combination of schwable signature next to no puncture protection and very low tread made these puncturey even in 2.35.

The ones I've looked at have mentioned Addix of some sort so they're the new compounds and construction, much better than the old ones.

That's a really good deal. I love that tread pattern for summer and even into the wetter months it's surprisingly grippy and rolls way faster than more traditional MTB tyres.

If it was 2.35 and SG casing I'd have stocked up. Hopefully these are good for someone.

The 2.6 x 27.5 they're selling - I have one in front of me - is is a Super Trail, Addix Speed Grip compound, TLE, Evo - I think that's what it says on the drop-down menu when you select size as well. It's not Snakeskin, which, as you say, are a little wimpy.
