Great chainset these - fit a standard Shimano 24mm BB,. take the Cinch direct mount rings. Cheap, light, reliable.

Are they the ones that you can swap the axle on? i.e. can you swap the 73/68 axle for an 83 or a 100 width?

That's the turbine isn't it. Pretty sure the aeffect I already have is fixed on side.

Yeah, fixed axle - you'd need to go to the 30mm ones (SixC/Next/Turbine(. Aeffect are the old style axle with the new style chainring.

It says no BB, but the ones that arrived on Friday came with a silver Raceface bottom bracket.

If I have a Shimano XT M8000 pressed in BB on my bike with the XT M8000 chainset, can I just do a direct swap with no particular tools apart from an Allen key ?

The Aeffect cranks don't have a self extracting crank bolt, so you need a ISIS style crank remover so you can take them off if you need to adjust the spacing.

Anyone know what chain line these are?

These have bumped SLX from the position of 'buying any other cranks is extra cost for no benefit'

Tho the anodising rubs off pretty quickly, so stick some protection on

Decent these. Keep thinking of replacing mine with something more bling but the fact that they’re light-ish and stiff-ish stops me bothering.

Single speed stu. You can fit rings for either boost or normal chain line to the same cranks

Great cranks and a bargain.  You can fit a self extractor to them though.

Got one as a speculative purchase to convert my hardtail to 1x.  Based on the comments above it should be a direct swap for a SLX with PF BB71?

@jonnyboi - should be, both are 24mm spindle, you might need a washer or two. I've not used that PF "standard" but with HT2 it's a straight swap.

p..s is there a way to mod edit the title of a PSA to state "sold out" in it? such as changing the title in this to "PSA (Sold Out): Race Face Aeffect single chainset £60"???

@submarined I bought one to experiment with a shorter crank. Will let you know if the experiment fails.
