For anyone who's bought a set of Prime Wheels from CRC / Wiggle in the past year, keep an eye out on the freehub. I've never experienced anything like this with any hubs I've had in the past (Hope, Shimano, DT, Formula, Campag)
There was some play in the bearings on the freehub so I thought I'll whip of the casette. No joy, it was stuck. The freehub has badly corroded the ABG has detached and I had to hack the damn thing off. I'd thoroughly recommend taking the casette of regularly to check and clean it. Particularly as the anti bite guard comes loose, sort of defeating the object!

Disappointed, was expecting free hubs
Will check mine when I get bike back from LBS.
How old was the hubs? Last time I changed cassette on mine they still looked like new ... yours looks like its spent 50 years in water.
It's 11 months old. I would have expected it to last a wee bit longer than that. I've done more mileage on other wheels in similar conditions with nothing like that happening.
It's funny because I do have another wheelset with Novatech hubs and never had the same issue even with the replacement freehub (A type). that had to be replaced as the casette was biting into it quite badly (bearings etc. were fine)
That’s a standard freehub that’s churned out by the thousands. Either you’ve found an odd one or you’ve been riding in salty/shitty conditions and not cleaning the bike properly. The sealing area and inside doesn’t exactly the cleanest either
EDIT: just seen the last post. Might just be unlucky
I'd try a nice email and get a warranty replacement as that does look dodgy. Never seen anything like that. Even salt water wouldn't do that in 11 months. Looks like chemical attack or something wrong with the alloy to have degraded so much.
So how do we get free hubs?

This
What on earth have you ridden through that's deposited all that crap on your freehub? It looks like salt bloom or something.
Are the free hubs all at the bottom of the ocean?
