I always get all excited by these posts, follow the link, think 'ooh bargin', realise I own at least one of whatever it is that's being sold and wonder why I bothered looking.

I'm still tempted to buy it at that price, though, rude not to 🙂

[I must be strong, I own two workstands already]

I have one, its not bad, a little unstable if you are trying to free up some stuck bits.

I would still rather have an Aldi/Lidl one over that. 😛

I hae that. it's great. Woud be nice to have a QR clamp, but other than that, it's stable and good quality.

Bike Tool one from Ribble is better.
Add an inner tube or something to make £60, DISC10 makes it £54.

Nothing wrong with it. It's big heavy and sturdy, big tubes welded together, it's never going to get floppy mechanisms like some of the cheaper ones I've seen. It's 3 legged so is always stable on uneven surfaces. No it isn't Qr but it only takes 2 seconds to spin the clamp shut and I prefer to control the clamping force myself to avoid damage anyway. Height adjustable.

I got the work tray and adaptor for mine at Christmas which are fab, not cheap though.

I paid £50 for mine when it was on offer somewhere and I really wish I'd paid for one years back!!

That is a bargain. Only problem is what you really want is the PCS 10 (next model up).

But if anyone doesnt have a stand and works on their own bikes - buy this as it's buttons for the benefits.

I have one of the lidl ones and its a hateful piece of shite so I'm very interested in this.
What other benefits does the PCS 10 have other than qr clamp?
Owners- is it capable of clamping at the seatpost without the nose of the bike sinking floorwards?

Yes, just tighten up the lever at the back of the clamp to stop it rotating.

Easier to fold away I think and seems a bit chunkier.

It was either a PCS10 or a Feedbacksports Sport model, I went with the latter as one came up for a good price. Have used a PCS10 and would be happy with either.

If anybody is considering one of the Lidl/eBay ones over this then please don't

I've had a Lidl one for around a year and it is now ready for the skip. The head rotates and sags, the clamp QR bush disintegrated, the legs are a pain to fold down (4 legged one) and it is generally built to the miniscule cost.

Really want the Park one, but no spare funds this month..doh.

Aldi / lidl one is cr*p - takes ages to get it setup right and you have the tighten everything really tight

I've had one for 8 years I think, it's great for the price. Solid and folds up pretty well, which is why I got it initially.

Ok, just assembling one of these (I've been away) and the upright isn't as snug in the yoke and sleeve as I expected.

Is this right?

Seems to be £55 now. Or is Amazon jacking up the price for me since I'm a Prime member?

Did you leave the little plastic sleeve in the base, then put the upright post in?

I made the same mistake, and immediately realised you're supposed to spread the plastic sleeve and put the upright into that.

Yeah the sleeve is in, there just seems like too much play.

Part of the plastic flange has snapped off but not sure that should make any difference.

Just treble checked mine - it is a bit loose if you rock it back and forth. But once the clamping arm is on it all kinda' sags under its own weight, and when you've got a bike clamped in there I doubt you'd notice.

Well I guess the tolerances must be right since they couldn't realistically be that far out.

It just seems a lot more than I expected but yeah it seems ok under the weight of the head...
