Just a heads up for anyone after any North Shore Billet chainrings. Shore-lines currently have over 50% off. Ordered one on Tuesday evening and arrived today. Just so happens NSB are one of the few companies who make rings compatible with Xtr m985 cranks so saved me a fair bit of money.

Pretty sure 48mm is non-Boost, hence I've bought a chainring.

If people are using the lower gears much more than higher ones, and there is frame clearance, non-boost rings are OK on a 'boost' frame. There's a Wolftooth article on it which I can't be arsed to find, but it's there.
