We've just had our renewal through, so I went onto the website to see if I could save some cash by letting the existing policy lapse and taking out a fresh one a day later (worked last year).

But the cheeky blighters have changed the policy terms for bikes for new customers. If you have any bikes worth more than £1000, you now need to declare each and every one (up to a maximum of 5). When I put in my info, the poilcy quote under the new system was more than 2x the existing renewal quote. Yowsers!

[EDIT: I meant to add - I rang them up and they assured me this is only for new customers. Existing customers who renew are still subject to the £4k per bike rule. Asked for it in writing, but call handler started wriggling like a fish]
