Some of the prices sound too good to be true ? Makes me wonder if they actually have the stock ? Just ordered the previous version of Madison's DTE waterproof trousers for £49.99 and I think I saw Troy Lee Resist for £79.99 , I thought I'd done well getting them for £100 last year. At under £50 ( if they arrive) the Madison's will be good for everyday rides saving the TLDs for proper filth .

Sounds like there's a lot of stock clearance going on everywhere. Sigma Sports have opened a website clearance section too (though it's not massively easy to navigate).

I wonder if a lot of shops are mirroring one another with a stock list from the importer / distributor?

Seems to be the same discounted stock available in a few shops, in the same sizes and very similar prices.

Almost as if they have all been given the same pricing to rapidly sell stock.

I looked at the DTE trousers on there  the other day. I think they're an older version. The new ones are £150 on Freewheel and look very different. I figured they were just clearing out old stock rather than selling new stuff off super cheap.

Still, £50 is a good price. I've got the Zenith trousers are they're excellent.

Tempted by a pair of the DTE trousers

Does anyone know what the sizing is like? I'm a medium in most bike shorts / trousers, being around a 33 inch waist.

Apparently a medium in these is 29.5 to 31.5 which seems small. Just wondering if they are true to size.

Cheers.

Do the Madison ones fit pads under? I could use some for BPW days.

I’ve got some of the TLDs on order. They sent a jolly nice personal email apologising that it wasn’t despatched on Monday as it should be but will be out today. And refunded the postage cost.

Mine just arrived.  Really nice quality, I went xxl thinking I m between xl and xxl as I want them to fit over casual clothes as well as bibs.  Xxl fit me ok, 34 inch waist, 34 inside leg.

I must be the only person hoping for rain so I can wear them.

Top psa been wanting some decent overtrousers for ages, 50 quids a steal.

Troy Lee Resist trousers arrived yesterday.

A wee bit snugger than my Skylines (which are excellent summer trousers).

Feel plasticky - just like normal "plastic" waterproof trousers. Wasn't expecting that.

The idea of washing them gives me the fear.

Mine turned up today. Relief to find the 32" waist works well for my more-like-31" body, it's always a bit of a lottery to size up or down. While I'd say there's no doubting the material's a waterproof one they're not as plasticky or swishy-noisy as my North Face walking waterproofs.

I'm 33in and went with 34s but collecting them from LL Cheltenham tomorrow so will give them a try before deciding if 32 would be better.

Shall be trying them out on tomorrows muddy night ride. As long as they aren't clammy, I'll be happy. I have some of the skylines and they are my fav riding troons by far (just wish they had a bigger pocket)

Stirling Crispin I find my TLD Resists are more comfy combined with a cheap pair of Campri tights from Sports Direct 👍

Very pleased with my tld resists. Ordered the 30 and I’m usually wearing 30” trousers despite measuring 32 with a tape. Dunno what that’s about.

But as above, gonna need some tights on underneath for comfort, quite rubbery sticky to the leggy.

Muddy and wet ride with the Resists earlier. Between the 32 and 34, either would have fitted, so went with the larger size 😉 Only had knee pads/socks underneath and didn't find them clammy at all. At 8 degrees ambient tho I wouldn't want them to be any warmer.

They shook off wetness from puddles, rain, mud etc. Reinforced in the right areas. I run two mudguards so not the greatest test of waterproof-ness. but overall very impressed on this first ride. Feel like an autumn/winter version of my TLD skylines.
