Will probably appeal to the EMTB set more than anyone else, but CRC have dropped the price to £146 from £170something (RRP is £370)
HydraDri 5.0 - 30k/30k water resistance/breathability and seem to come out on top of Dirtlej and Endura in reviews
I've just ordered a set, can't wait to look like a complete idiot this winter 😉

One 1 star review has put me off.
I'd read that as "man gets sweaty, blames rain" but that said, I have a generally low amount of trust for glowing or terrible reviews
Leatt sizing is weeeeird
Looks perfect for a night at the fetish club!

Out of interest, why? Do people with real bikes not ride in the rain or is it that ebikers seem to always be riding in as much clobber as possible regardless of the weather?

Yeah, ordered a large jacket once and it was too small - I'm normally med-lrg. I've ordered L & XL to see

I'm a sweater, wouldn't want to ride my normal mtb in a full on suit
Like the fella who ebikes to my work - was wearing a jacket yesterday. I was not wearing a jacket! 😛
Generally, I'll wear whatever I'd normally wear on a normal bike for the conditions BUT sometimes a bit quicker to stick on an extra layer on the ebike if I feel I need/want it.
Still sweat like a trooper a lot of the time on the eeb mind you

Let us know when it's arrived at your door and to lock all others away from that Halloween stalker killer vibe going on.
I'd wear something like that if I still had a DH bike or easy access to lifts. I'd cook like a lobster if I had to travel anywhere in it.

If I ever go to Bike Park Wales again in the sodding rain it will have paid for itself
I don't get any wetter in the rain than I do from riding.
Seemed ideal until I saw the sizing. Going by that sizing chart if you’re over 6’ you have to be obese for it to fit. I can imagine how much fun it is being overweight and cycling in a plastic suit
I'll report back on sizing tomorrow

That's interesting sizing! At 6'3", apparently I'm XXXL, meaning that the waist is going to fit someone with a 43" gut. I'd look like someone in a deflated Sumo suit!
Put a on co2 cylinder and a pull lanyard it to your bars as an air bag?
Sounds a daft question, but how how do these things run? I run hot, I don’t need boil in the bag. However. These do appeal for night rides in the winter when the weather is shit, rain and wind, lash this on and go; it appeals. However I also think…… I’ll just sweat buckets and hate it within the first mile.
What’s peoples real world experience or tips?
Large and XL arrived today. At 5'11 and 12st11, the large works fine.
The XL has a bit more room in the hood for a helmet but is ridiculously baggy.
Will be keeping the large. Really nicely made bit of kit tbh
Hopefully it'll work for whoever buys it, but that is instant boil-in-a-bag...I'd be less wrinkled not wearing that is serious rain than if I wore it.
I can only assume those that don't boil in them are actually cold-blooded lizards with opposable thumbs!
I think you'll find the lizards stick to Royal racing kit

It'll be strictly ebike attire where I can regulate my temperature more easily. Wouldn't dream of going on a leg powered ride wearing it, unless it was an uplift day
You say that, but how do you keep yourself cool? I've had a shot 5 or 6 times and I didn't find it any cooler riding one...

I also still run hot even on an ebike. But you can make the effort put in less if needs be, ergo less sweat
This will be for the shittiest/coldest days and the likes of bpw. Who knows, I'll probably wear it once and shelve it 🤣
I can see me having something like that in the wardrobe for really bad days, especially uplifts. But fit's always going to be a challenge for a onepiece, I went through 3 sets of riding trousers to get one that fits adequately (and they're still not quite how I want them), add in more dimensions and limbs and it seems like it's going to be more luck than anything else?
Actually looks pretty good and at that price I'd almost be tempted to compromise my "never touch Leatt" stance. Cut does look "athletic" though.
Saw someone at FOD in a full suit in yesterday's downpour, thought that was a bit much given it was still over 20 degrees but was quite jealous in a way
I have a Dirtsuit that gets used when it's really shit conditions.
Great when it's snowing/ minus degrees but I have no idea how anyone could wear one just because it's raining.
Even in the worst conditions I need all the vents open when pedalling and only close them if waiting for someone.
Great bits of kit but a very limited use range.
during the deepest, darkest, dirtiest winter days my Endura onesie comes out.
Do i look like a tit.... quite possibly. Am i warm and dry (part from the sweat)... definitely.
Is it nice to peel off in one without getting covered in grimness.... you got it slick!
My Leatt babygro arrived today. As a fat lad I went XXL and it's actually a decent fit and only about an inch too long in the leg. Nicely made and feels tougher than my Dirtsuit (that I'm sure has shrunk...). It would have been too hot yesterday at FoD, although welcomed while I was hiding under the trees during the downpour.
Cheers for the PSA on adult romper suits. XL for my 6'1" 14 stone frame fits good, and will do the job for winter ebiking.
May I suggest an STW gimps meetup for those who took advantage of this deal?
Should raise a few eyebrows.
wore mine at the weekend. a little warm but kept me dry (except a little sweat to be expected!). will work well in winter
Supposed to be riding tonight - storm Agnes allowing, so I reckon I'll be giving mine it's first run out.
Monosuit, Trailcross GTX and Giro Proof gloves, lets see if I stay dry and warm (probably too warm)
I suspect even on an ebike you are going to boil in the bag. Be interested to hear the verdict.
Maybe get an attachment that allows a fan to run up and arm and circulate cooler air throughout the suit - plugged into a plug point on the ebike... 😉
One piece clothing is really tricky to get a good fit. I used to get this with work overalls, in order to get a pair that did not squash the crown jewels every time you lifted your arms above your head, the arms would be too long and they would be wide enough to fit another me inside. Legs were fine, strangely.
I could imagine this suit being cut perfectly for when riding but being awful for standing straight.
Nice idea in principle.

It gathers a bit above the waist, but I have a short torso, so to be expected. Not bad enough to look (any more) ridiculous
Well....
Properly put it through its paces tonight
First part of the ride was a bit blustery and drizzly, completely comfortable
Second part of the ride was horrific. It stood up well. Was a little damp inside (possibly sweat), but it definitely wasn't boil in the bag.
Was comfortable enough to wash the bike when I got back at gone 10pm.
Was on the ebike though, riding with a leg powered mate, but never in my three and a half decades of mtb'ing have I felt so comfortable in adverse conditions.
Snickers base layer, sealskinz socks, Trailcross GTX boots, sealskinz gloves. Brilliant

Yet still possibly room for improvement - GripGrab CyclinGaiter between your monosuit legs and over the top of the boots. Mostly stops the socks getting wet, cooling your feet, and eventually pooling water in the bottom of the boots that squelches.
Which Sealskinz gloves? I tried the All Weather MTB ones and they were too tight over the knuckles when gripping the bar.

Yeah will consider them, but tbh, the final leg home was on roads that were rivers and some areas starting to flood slightly.
Feet/socks were bone dry
Not sure on the gloves (will try and find out), they definitely aren't fully waterproof, but hands felt fine
Anyone else got any feedback on these? Obviously I've missed the really good pricing and now the 5.0 is out of stock in my size but I'm considering the 3.0

I WAS going to go for a wet ride on the normal bike today and see how much I sweat, but sacked it off to do more important boring stuff. Will try it sometime this week though and update
