yeah heard good things about probikeshop. What I can't remember is if the 'RC' Pikes have the proper damper?

They seem to be very reluctant to take credit card orders. Keep cancelling mine due to some ridiculous 'verification' process. Very frustrating. Certainly don't want to pay via bank transfer as offers no protection.

No issues with probikeshop other than they don't do discount codes as often as they did! Got my Alpine 160 from them.

Yeah, they used to do an extra 5, 10 or 15% code off sale items - not seen them for a while though, which is a shame. I've had some stonking bargains from them previously.

I think it's far more common the continent than it is here.

Would the added protection of a credit card even apply aborad?

Only just cut the steerer down on my brand new pikes. I thought I had got them at a good price. If only I'd waited two weeks

So it turns out my headset is the wrong standard. Tapered steerer does not mean tapered headtube.

Off to eBay...

can you explain what you mean?

I gather these Kings for sale on the link are a standard 1.125" upper cup with an oversize 1.5" lower?
I'm wondering if these fit the new Cotic headset standard, for example.

If so, a right bargain. Wish I snapped up a Mango.

34mm internal diameter up top, and 49mm (I think) at the bottom. I've got a zero stack 44mm headtube so this won't work in it.

However, a black one of what I've got sold for £80 on eBay yesterday, so I should make my money back.

Do we know if these forks are OEM?

They come in a plain cardbox box, if that helps?

Thanks - I suspect they are OEM then. I think the only difference is no pump and the plain box anyway.

34.9 /420 Stealth reverb - absolute bargain as well.

Wowzer!

Despite my cynicism they arrived in good time. I ordered the white RCT3 so I was pretty [s]surprised[/s] delighted when they turned out to be stealth black with black uppers.

I ordered some pikes on Saturday using my credit card and haven't heard anything from provokeshop apart from receiving an order processing email (on Saturday) which stated they had accepted my payment.
Checked my online banking today and it says the payment is pending, so rang the bank and they said they have accepted the payment, and it is probikeshop who need to accept the payment.

I have tried ringing but due to my lack of French has got me nowhere, and no replies to my emails.

Has anyone else had the same issues? How long after your order did you get an confirmation email with delivery dates etc...

Any help would be great!

Thanks for the reply dirtrider. I have just had an email from them apologising for the delay and my order should be sent out today.
The reason for the delay was the company were closed yesterday as it was a bank holiday in France. Fair enough in my book, just glad they are on there way!

Mine are OEM so no pump or star nut, they also have the rct3 sticker on them but are rc's, which I kind of expected but their advert was totally misleading. Still happy as I never use the pedal setting on my other pikes anyway and a star nut is only a couple of £s. Just glad they're adjustable...and all black!

Yes it's been an expensive week for me. Justified by the fact that decent 1 1/8" forks will be in short supply soon and both bikes in running have got plenty more miles left before I want to shift them on.

Spend to save. The money I saved on two forks more than pays for the revs. Ergo free revs. Mike math 🙂
