no need to buy new short bolts at £10 - 10mm spring washers are perfect as spacers on the back of the normal bolts. Can't see em but they look neat anyway!
6p each x 4 = total spend = £0.24!!!

i tried these a while back but found upon tightening they splayed out and opened up which left them useless, my preferred fix was to cut down the original bolts.

aye, successful bodge on a mate's bike too. (first-shape xt ht2 crank) although I seem to remember needing to arrange them so the split was next to a sticky-outy part of the spider that stopped it splaying out on tightening.
