Just browsing bikes and Onza are selling full builds of the Payoff for £699. Rockshox Rev’s and SLX drivetrain. Figured it might be a bit of a bargain for anyone looking for a steel 29er.

Seems like a blummin bargain, but with the exception of the seat tube diameter, which is a deal breaker for me 🙁

Looks like a nice bike for the price. The jackpot and frames are discounted too.

How do these size up? I haven't bought a mountain bike for 10 years so a bit out of the loop. My current bike is a 16" On One Scandal which is a bit small but the next size up is a bit big. At 5'8" and an inside leg of 29" will I be OK on the 17" frame?

Yeah, the 17inch frame would be perfect I reckon. I'm 5 9 with short legs and I just about fitted on a large, but a medium would have been better for me.

If 27.2 seatpost is an issue because of a dropper post then the brandx ii with the collar mounting is perfect. What I have on a Genesis Hugh latitude and the post has been first class.

The Jackpots £820 with a reverb IIRC.
I have a Jackpot frame, 31.6 seat tube, 27.5 wheels. It’s not Long, low and Slack (or light) but it’s a fun short bike that manuals easily and is great on tight stuff. I used a SRAM bb Adapter to bsa. Shame it doesn’t have continuous outer cable runs. I run full length outer cable tied to the frame.

That looks fantastic for the money. I can't unsee that headtube though.

Their site says you can get 10% off your next order. I haven't received email though yet. Anybody know if the 10% is off bikes too?
