[Closed] PSA - Hamsterley trail closures today 11/10

For anyone thinking of a trip to Hamsterley today (Thursday 11th) you need to be aware that all trails West of Grove House are closed today for a Fire Service training exercise.

This includes the Red route sections - Transmission, Accelerator, Nitrous.

There is a large scale fire exercise scheduled to take place at Hamsterley Forest on Thursday 11 October. The Forest Drive will be closed from Low Redford to Blackling Hole, including the Grove Car Park. Trails that will be closed are the Red Cycle Trail, Blue Cycle Trail, Blue and Brown Horse riding routes, Spurlswood Walk (red) and Whisky Gill Walk (green). Trails that remain unaffected are Orange Walking Trail, Yellow walking Trail, Black Cycle Trail, MTB Training Loop, Riverside Walk and Descend Hamsterley. The toilets, cafe and play area are open as normal. Please obey all warning notices, instruction from staff and any diversions that are marked on the ground.
