Came to £16.19 delivered using that code.

Receive theft alerts if your bike is moved without you, automatically send crash alerts to a nominated contact, and get low battery notifications.
Control and customise your lights by changing their flash mode, brightness level or flash patterns.
See your cycling stats or pair ACE with a compatible Garmin device thanks to ACE’s ANT+ technology.

It annoys me that my glassy lights have 5 settings rather than on or off.

Seems bit overcomplicated, I'm ooout 🙂

Can't think of anything worse.

(not strictly true, but)

Cheers.. actually came here too point this out.

Mixed reviews - a lot of love plus a few questioning reliability - but worth a punt at that price if only to have another light in the box to grab on the way out the door.

Found a review of the front and rear light.

Amongst other things, it flashes faster (rear) when a cars headlamp hits it. Cool stuff!
I've ordered another one for my lads bike.👍

I've got one and it's a great light. The reaction to your speed and the light conditions is really impressive.

I got one and the battery barely lasted two hours, for £17 though not bad for a quick spin.
It tells you it’s run out, which is why I bought it, but still.
I should’ve sent it back tbh it must have been faulty, luckily I lost it so it doesn’t matter now.

had one before.
lasts 2 hours ish so not a full night ride.

not fully waterproof. lasted just over a month (6 rides)

anti theft doesnt work well. battery dies (and it doesnt tell you) and they can walk of with it without you knowing.

Great idea but i wouldnt waste your money tbh

Disagree with everything the above poster says. Though I don't bother with the ANT+ stuff (don't even know what it is), I've had one of those lights since they came out on a Kickstarter. Totally waterproof, used in all weathers since bought (and if you get a duff one, the support is brilliant as they are a small company), battery lasts a couple of weeks on my commutes, have it on in the light and dark. I do switch mine off, rather than let it autopower off. (Same with anything, that'll use battery unnecessarily).
Excellent PSA. I'd have another one but don't need it, even at that bargain price.

ps. I do have the crash alert going to my gf, which worried her once 😛
pps. I've got the Beam+ front light on order as their products have been so good. Taken a while to get to production, but expecting good things.

I see they are an Irish company, not some nameless corp based in China or something which is nice to know if there are any issues.

Yeah,I wont use the crash alert.

My OH would be getting one an hour (oh-er) when I ride the SDW.😁

I presume the crash detection would be no good for mtb?

I can't think of a more useless feature on a light. That's right up there with phones that vibrate themselves to death so you know the battery is low.

“ I can’t think of a more useless feature on a light.”

It’s useful! My rear light’s battery is really worn out and I finish about 20% of my commutes with no rear light. If I knew I’d stop and put on an emergency light. Anyway, have ordered one!

I suppose it's how well charge implemented it. I'm not sure if its a feature within the app (using the phones sensors) or within phone and light?

I'm guessing big G deceleration followed by the light not sensing movement for say, 5 mins, could trigger it for instance?

It tells you it’s run out

Press the button snd it tells you how much charge is left. If the user is too stupid to charge it when it’s low, I’d say that isn’t a design fault with the light.

I have a set. Never bothered with the fancy settings. On the normal daybright flash they last 8-9 hours.

Think I paid twice that amount and quite happy with it.

Well, mine has been dispatched.

Someone on the link above suggested making sure you update the firmware to improve battery life (worth doing anyway in case they are older stock).

I've had them since Kickstarter too. The original firmware had bad battery life, mainly as it drained the battery whilst not in use! Since updating it the battery life is great. On flashing mode, mine last many hours.

I tried the theft detection mode, but that didn't work even slightly.

So I don't have them connected to my phone, I just use them as lights. They're pretty good and bright and flashy, so well worth their currently discounted price.

The point about telling you when it’s run out is useful (for the rear) if you do a 20 mile commute in the dark on main roads, like what I do.
On the front, not so much.
