Genuinely decent psa. Bought 34s from bikediscount on the last great psa 4 or 5 years ago and these look identical in terms of a bargain. Enjoy

Too short thank god, besides I've just spent too much on a spray gun, another purchase would be a wanton indulgence

Nice crc description stating both FIT GRIP and GRIP2 damper.

I'm pretty sure these are FIT GRIP damper

Now then... These Vs pike ultimates?

I thought the same thing looking at the description.

Pretty sure you need to go up to the performance elite for grip 2.

Fox has better availability of damper spares but if it matters to you, it's worth noting that you can't fit a Smashpot in a 34, but you can in a pike.

That mech post has a pic of an X01 but the description is for an SX. CRC and Wiggle's accuracy on what they are selling has gone down hill.

Ordered the £25 cassette as an emergency spare for the ebike so thanks for the PSA - unfortunately I also bought a new pair of five tens so the basket became quite expensive....

These are made of cream cheese apparently. Very bendy.

Dammit! They’re the right length in the right colour and I’ve just spent all my money.

Bought a set of those forks a few months ago at a similar price, really good value.

Will actually be better than my OEM rythms, same spec in terms of travel and diameter?

For those thinking they are the wrong travel I believe ehive it’s only a cheapish air shaft swap to change the travel

@ampthill no - the description is poor but they are performance, with the same damper as your Rhythm. All you'd gain is the lighter tubes and construction.

They do not have the Grip2 damper of the performance elite/factory, contrary to the CRC text.

They are however superb forks, the original grip damper (Marzocchi sweep) is really nice.

Cheers for the PSA

Forks are a great price but have gone for the cassette as a back up

Didn't need to see this after deciding my Revolutions are too flexy! Thanks for the heads-up

i suspect this is the OE-only performance and not the performance elite. though, to their credit CRC have included a description of both forks, just to make sure that buyers are confused.

sarcasm aside, it's still a good price but not the bargain they appear to be.

I'm after some 38s in 29. Once they appear cheap I'd bite.

The fox 36 performance elite look a good buy too.

Received these today. They're the Performance version with Grip as suggested above.

The Grip is a fine damper, definitely a great PSA.

How crucial is offset?  these say 44mm, the manky old Rockshok Silvers that might be replaced say 51mm.  It's 7mm, so not much, but enough for it to be relevant, important?

Short offset is the current trend. Most people including me would struggle to notice the difference. Certainly not a factor to put you off.

They've got some non boost 120 Yaris at a similar price. I'm running non boost wheels in my FS currently.

The Fox would need a new/spare front wheel.
The Yari would be a direct swap.

If I think about it long enough maybe it will save me money.

You can get a boost adapter for like £5 off eBay. The 34's should be a lot better than a Yari. I've got two sets of 34's and I love them

The moco damper in the Yari is poor compared to the one in the fox. If you were doing to get a non-boost fork I would look elsewhere at that price. But as above, a boost adapter kit will do the job.

@flyingpotatoes am i right in thinking the cassette will only fit old style hubs? Ie not the new SRAM ones...

34s are great, but I'd say marginally better than a Yari. I've had 2 bikes with Yaris and tbh can't fault them, for all the bad press they get. Miles better than Golds that seem to get OEM'ed on everything lately.

I'm not suggesting a Yari is bad, just that the Grip damper is more like having a Charger than a MoCo.
