Bugger.... Just bought a pair, but in black for a tenner more. Prefer the brown.
Although it says "high" they are not a high as my standard Freeriders.....
I bought a pair of the EPS hitops from Bikester a few weeks ago after the last PSA. At the time they had good stocks of the blue and the brown in most sizes. I think price was about £65 all in and delivery was a couple of days.
These are proper hitops. Noticeably higher than a standard freerider, basically like a basketball boot but with a dotty stealth rubber sole, primal oft gold insulation and an outer that will shrug off wet and mud much like the Elements line. Not truly waterproof but much better than a regular Freerider sponge. Compared to regular I think they’re a little smaller, probably the insulation, so you might want half a size bigger than you normally take for 5:10...
Sorry to be a downer but I wouldn't, they're ime useless in the wet- worse than a freerider element. Probably fantastic in cold, dry climates, we're not one of those. Here, they're warm til they're wet then they're not.
They work for me, but judging by how much unsold stock that may be a couple of years old is around, they may not work for everyone, yourself included! 😁 I say a couple of years ago because I bought low top (ie, normal) EPS Freeriders about this time in 2016 and blue and brown were the colours then...
