Hmmmm. Do I want the Trailcross Mid Pro with the laces or the Freerider Pro Mid with the velcro?

I might go a size up and keep them specifically for use with waterproof socks.

Wow.

Do a little thought exercise and imagine they have sold out, how do you feel Cokie? Gutted or relieved?

If the former, you know what to do 😀

I own these "Freerider Pro Mid with the velcro",

really good at keeping the bits out of the top of the shoes, but they look weird if you wear shorts, super easy to put on.

but now I have just bought 3 cheap pairs

Obviously buy it and bully him into using it, like making them eat sprouts or do ballet because you never got to do it as a child it's the main benefit of being a parent.

The Status 160 for £1600 is really tempting I have to say, as a 'base' to swap all my fancy parts over maybe...!? Could be out riding a 160mm travel bike by the weekend!?

I was looking at those thinking they'd be great as the next bike for my kids, but ST length is massive relative to other measurements, etc. Shame as that's a great price for the spec.

Edit: size small Cannondale has 35mm longer ST but 10mm SHORTER reach compared to mini-a11y's current Vitus Nucleus 26 kid's bike. Total no-go given I can only just squeeze in a 110mm dropper on the Vitus at the moment.

Well no, I've got a commuter.  The one I just ordered will have to do proper gravel duty. Screenshot_20230926_191751_Chrome

Does anyone know if its got routing for a stealth dropper?

Exactly why I bought them. I know Tahnee has rocked them a few times too. I felt they were cool as well as a good cause/talking point.

https://www.adidas.com/us/five-ten-freerider-pro-canvas-bca-mountain-bike-shoes/GZ4705.html

Limited-edition breast cancer awareness graphics elevate the mountain bike shoes that set the standard for flat pedal control and casual comfort. The adidas Five Ten Freerider Pro supports everything you do on your bike and off. Designed in collaboration with freeride athlete Veronique (Vero) Sandler, this shoe tells the awareness story with unmistakable pink details. Just the right level of casual style makes them your go-to shoe on and off the bike. They have all the same features as the traditional Freerider Pro, including Stealth S1 rubber and a Dotty tread for pedal control, plus an improved impact-resistant toe box. Proceeds from the sale of these shoes support breast cancer awareness.

some bargains on the five tens, got some spare mid pro as my current pair 6m old aren't gonna last forever. :0)

looking on hukd, seem to be alot of complaints orders arent shipping smoothly, missing items or not shipped at all in over 2 weeks..

those impact pro's are damn cheap for the downhiller, or someone who wants to kick doors down.

tried a pair a few years ago and they weigh a metric tonne.

I'm out of touch on sizing. I've got some 6 year old EPS mids, 5 year old Freeriders, and 2 year old Freeriders, and 3 year old Freerider Pros, all 44.5.
Guessing current EPS Mids are similar sizing?
As I understand it the Trailctoss are a bit narrower?
Is it the Hellcats that are similar for to Freeriders?
So many bargain related questions 😀

@speshpaul, if you wear adidas, then on trailcross go for the same size or up 1/2 if you want a thicker or waterproof sock. the sleuth / element ones are true to size from memory.

if you dont wear adidas, then try a 1/2 or full size up on regular.

£52 quid for Impact Pros? That's mental! 12.5 pair for me, 14.5 pair for my large footed riding pal. Superb Tracey, thank you for the PSA.

Are the five ten range good in clip in version as well? I know they are well regarded for flats. I am looking at some for gravel/Road combined using xt spd pedals. I have some older shimano which are OK but wanted to try something a bit more comfy which these look. I guess I'm spending most the time locked into the pedals but I prefer to have a recessed clear like the mtb one to be honest for this type of riding and use. Are the hell at or freerider good options?

Not the status and not 20% off but whilst perusing Evans I noticed a whopping 50% off  Trek Rail 7 which I may or may not have accidentally bought last night.

I blame the covid fever dreams.  I wasn’t even in the market.

@jawildcard

I primarily wear hellcats, for trail type stuff with clip in platform type pedals and they work very well. i also wear them on my gravel bike with the shimano cageless spd's (520) and again have had no complaints the sole still mates up nicely.

I'm sorely tempted by a pair of kestral boas for the additional stiffness for the less technical stuff.

My freerider pros arrived today, didn't think they'd be that quick, all good, they don't look like they've been tried on, I was a little worried by the sports direct style stickers on the box but they're in perfect condition, even the box is unbashed. Went half a size up and the fit is spot on.

Cheers for your thoughts, yes hellcat look good, similar to my five ten sleuth style I think only with the clip option. The trailcross look cool but I hear they are ideal if your are spending a lot of time wearing them off bike as opposed to clipped in. I also see they do a kestrel pro which isn't in this offer but looks like a full on xc hard stiff sole version. I guess I want the best of both worlds but ideally some warmth with the colder weather, my shimano are very cold with the open cleat area below meaning cold feet even with taping it up and wearing thermal socks and overshoes haha but that's deep winter of course.

But seriously what has he done that hasn't already been done by a million other people and is still been doneby a million people who dont get a mention .

He donated 55k at a charity auction I was attending as a survivor telling my story raising money for children's cancer hospice in Middlesbrough

By the end of the evening he'd donated 110k and asked the signed shirt boots and signed autographs be resold .

There are plenty more worthy of your hatred if you'd like to actually have a list
