Noticed that Decathlon have brought out a two variations of long pants. One is 'AM' and the other just described as warm winter trousers. Both are forty quid. Not seen any reports yet but Decathlon is usually decent stuff and way cheaper even than sale Endura.

Yeah I do like decathlon also. These worked out at £45 so I’ll see what they look like when they arrive

A friend has these and loves them. I've got some Endura Humvee waterproofs, and the quality is excellent. If it was closer to payday I'd definitely buy a pair!

These are the old Singletrack trousers. I’ve still bought a pair though.

Those decathlon ones look just the ticket, ordered.

I'd love to be able to peel the outer layer off with all the mud leaving clean legs to jump in jeans and not trail mud round the house / in the shower etc

Are the Decathlon trousers the same material as the AM shorts?

Have these and need new ones, but medium, they are great trousers for me, can fit a knee pad in comfortably and they grip around the waist so no messing about, if it wasn't 55 quid i might have bought some large and lived with the extra room!

@scuttler thats what I ordered. Theres some other for the same price that seem more insulated, don't need that, out of stock anyway.

I ordered the AM shorts too, will see what they are like when the arrive. Hopefully the trousers go over knee pads.

Yep those are the ones, mine arrived the other day and seem good. Although the website says they come up small I find them fairly normal sizing. Anyway off to Scotland next week so they will get a proper workout.

I have the Singletracks and Decathlon trousers in my posession.
Sizing: I bought L/34" in both. I'm a 34" waist and both fit, although the Decathlons are a little snug.
Fit: The Enduras are baggier in the lower leg and appear to be more suited to get pads underneath but look less streamlined as a result. Both sets of pads are currently gopping so I haven't actually tried them yet.
Material/Construction: The Decathlon trousers are the same material as the AM500 MTB Trail Shorts which I was less than impressed with when I bought them. It's stretchy but I'm not convinced it'll be overly durable. They are also an odd colour, sort of dark khaki and not "Carbon Grey/Charcoal Grey/Blood Orange" that the website states. What appears at first glance to be a waterproof reinforcement of the seat area is actually a single layer and seems very thin so I'm not sure how durable it'll be. The same material is also used on the shins.
The Enduras are exactly as I expected them to be; nicely familiar and definitely more aesthetically pleasing. Until you put them on... The legs seem rather baggy from the mid-thigh down, even accounting for pads.

If I have understood Decathlon's returns process correctly, I can return the trousers even if I've worn them if they turn out to be unsuitable for the sport, so I think I'll give them a couple of outings before making my final decision.

I don't anyone would be too disappointed with either pair given the low price.

I got my Decathlon, really good fit for the money! Bulky pads no problem.

Fairly lightweight material, which is good except the bum which Id rather be more durable. But for the money look great!

Same as linked above

Yes those are the ones. Id say they are about right size wise. Pretty close fitting but stretchy.

Got my Decathlon 'pants' yesterday, went for the XL as I heard they come up small. Bit loose around the waist, but otherwise not a bad fit, as everyone else has said, seem worth a punt for forty quid, test ride tomorrow.

I have the decathlon ones.. They fit well 32" possibly slightly small. Very lightweight material quite breathable - probably not very resistant to spills.. The waterproof bum is a bit thin too.. waterproof at the moment, but might wear quite quickly....

After being very pleasantly surprised at the quality of a pair of Regatta walking trews (always had them down as a bit of a national trust day out brand!) I've took a punt on these for biking, 15 quid, they size up a tad small, so if 34 waist go 36.

If they don't work out well for biking, I'll wear them day to day anyway.
