One for the 11-speed users...

€65 each or works out around £122 posted for two casettes to the UK (last week's exchange rate). No extra charges to pay. Seems a bargain to me as long as that's enough range for your needs. All-steel cassette that's durable as well as being light.

I moved from Shimano 11-46t cassettes with 30t chainring to these with a 28t chainring. Still 11-sp XTR shifter and SLX mech. Much prefer this cassette: better gaps between the rsatios, lighter, wider overall range at top and bottom compared to my previous 11-46t SLX, and appears to be wearing very well.

those things last forever, not sure I ever actually replaced an 11 speed cassette

So I've heard. By ordering two I'm probably set for cassettes for the next decade.

Agreed, they are remarkable things. This doesn’t help trying to justify a move to 12sp for me

Extra range maybe?

This XG-1150 Cassette is the cornerstone of peak 11 speed setup. Used them for a long, long time with 11 speed Shimano XTR and XT bits.

I am not at all convinced that when I finally switched to 12 speed, both Sram GX and Shimano XT level on different bikes, that it was an overall improvement on the 11 speed kit.

The drop from 11 to 10tooth is far more useful than the idoticstep up to the 46 on the 'big' Shimano 11 speed casettes, and you can combine with a smaller chainring for a lighter, more efficient, and better spread of gears with better ground clearance too. Good kit. Might have to buy one for my next build.

They also have just about the best life/weight/performance spread of any cassette I've ever tried.

Great shout OP!

Dont do it.

This cassette range, with a 28tooth (if your on 29inch wheels) or 30t (for 27.5) is just about spot on I reckon.

Bought one of these to facilitate the drivetrain upgrade. Thanks OP for the heads up on my other thread. It'll be meshed to a 28tooth Garbaruk chain ring, also cheap from R2. Jockey wheels from ChainReaction and a fresh chain will see it right.

Cheers Op, been wanting to try one of these for the extra range, without a massive cassette for ages.
Ordered a couple, then realised I couldn't get an XD driver for one set of wheels and the other, Hope was £75.
Start fitness are doing 20% discount on eBay, so a bit cheaper and not much more than people ask for a used XD driver..
