mens and (for a change) wimmins Aeron bibs on sale 40% off, at £23.99. Well reviewed here and elsewhere, and even cheaper than the recent Zipfit offer but in less lairy colour schemes 🙂 .

Wiggle on topcashback, and unsubscribing and resubscribing to wiggle newsletter still gets you a £5-off-£50 voucher. Wearing at the same time as a quality/heritage branded top will result in stoning or spontaneous combustion from the deep internal conflict, but worth the risk.

Their winter bibs are a bargain at the moment as well especially considering the colder weather is but 8-10 weeks away.

Thanks so much for this recommendation, now just need a jersey.

Any recommendations in a similar low end price bracket please?

Cool. Just ordered. Been ummming and aaaahing for ages over whether to try bib shorts. No reason not to at that price!

dsb, all my jerseys are "premium" branded but bought reduced

half price Pearl Izumi "elite" (their top range)

https://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDetails.asp?productID=55699&categoryID=856

massively reduced from insane RRP Mcipollini

https://www.cyclestore.co.uk/productDetails.asp?productID=56776&categoryID=856

the Cipo stuff is fantastic, Assos quality (or better) for DHB money (I have Assos jerseys to compare directly), really thoughtfully designed (deep waist and arm bands so a snug elastic fit without that tight gripped feeling, different material/finishes on different panels, mesh vent down spine, wash bag to protect it in the machine etc etc). I bought some of their roubaix tights and its like wearing nothing, but warmer, if that makes sense. Just kicking myself I didnt buy their bibs when they had them in stock in my size 🙄

Not worn bibs on MTB yet but the lack of a waistband makes them far more comfortable than standard shorts on the road bike.

Have a look at Start Cycles and check out the Scott stuff. Some great bargains to be had on there.

I got a pair a few weeks ago, comfortable enough but do look and feel a bit cheapish compared to my Endura mountain shorts. I'd go for the race version next time, or like crashtestmonkey, get some discounted top brand stuff.

Cheers,
Jamie

Not really worth more than 24 quid if I'm honest. Really poor stitching, mine fell apart after a couple of months. Got the Pro's which are light years ahead of these.
