Tempted to buy one of those frames for jnr and build it up to something rad for him ahead of time.

He is currently on a 26"vitus nucleus.

DO kids go straight to 29" now or do some ride 27.5?

yeah but OEM, no clamps. No olives (£8.99 each) to shorten. Strange hose lengths rear 1400 or so. Way too short.
Sram hose £47!

small sram parts are bloody extortionate.

Levers are flippable too so I don’t know what makes them ‘right handed’. Ie I think you can buy two to use as F&R.
Bargain, I love my Codes.

Good PSA, particularly the Z2.  Just ordered a pair for the daughter’s 650+ trek Roscoe.  6%TCB too.

that just looks like clear out of old stock (eg not current NP mega, when the current one is likely to be updated soon) and OEM parts from builds (brakes with specific unusual  length hoses)

bargains though.

Guide RE's are still available for £45/50 depending on hose length, a bit of a bargain for DOT6 users wanting a 4 pot caliber. Rear only now, but the only difference between front and rear is hose length- levers of course fit either side.

Most of the Vitus Mach hybrid/urban bikes are half price - so from £200 SS to £400 Sora. £260 on this with a 3-speed Nexus hub and hydraulic discs is tempting me for a town/pub/schoolrun bike: https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/vitus-mach-1-three-nexus

£1500 Mega 290 looks excellent vfm too: https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/p/nukeproof-mega-290-comp-alloy-bike-deore

Strewth - that Mega was £1899 when I bought my Reactor. I had originally decided on the Mega but cost was a factor in deciding on the Reactor.

It may 'only' be Deore and have basic shocks/fork but it's well made and well thought out with lots of quality.  For £1500 that Mega is incredible.

I did asee however that wiggle have stopped doing C2W. Anyone know if there are going to start redoing it? Been looking at the vitus road bikes and the C2W makes it all the better!

POC Kortal Race, not the trendiest colour, green, in M, down from £220 to £75.

https://www.wiggle.com/p/poc-kortal-race-mips-mtb-helmet?color=epidote-greenuranium-black-metallicmatt&sizeStandard=M

I normally wear a helmet in S/M as I like a close fit, but this is perfect on me.

I really fancy a set of those for my Chameleon but not sure if they're. bit much for a singlespeed. Probably quite a step up from the 120mm SID forks I'm going to be using.

My Daughter is 155cm - she can (and does on occasion) ride my medium Nukeproof Scout 275 (which will sacrifice all of its parts...) so this should be better for her.

Ahh some good deals, does anyone rate the Garmin edge 530? That’s a good price for £160 on there. I know there’s an 830 too but can’t see that as a deal at all. Have seen the comparison vids, it’s more to replace my old Garmin touring that doesn’t even have Bluetooth 😂

I bought a 530 a couple of months ago for just over 200,  which at the time was a good deal

I rate mine, I use it to record rides, and when going exploring as nav, its been pretty good at that considering I'm trying to find routes through woodlands etc.. bought the 530 as it had multiple profiles and didn't want touchscreen

I wouldn't want to set u pa route on it though, i do everything via phone or pc

530 is the Ford Mondeo of computers.  It does everything you need pretty well and is quite cheap.  It is annoying not having touch at times, as I like to browse the map sometimes, but that's it - and the upside to that is that you can still use it in the rain just fine.  Great device.

I like the 530 - I didn't want the touchscreen so avoided the 830. Does everything I need and plenty more - I don't use it for following a course, but the mapping is handy to give an idea of where I am if I do end up 'exploring'...

Battery lasts well, seems to get a signal quickly and seems to hold the signal well.

The only issue with the 530 is it's very fiddly setting up those data screens. Why can't they just have some sort of text file / json / yaml file or something to define it all that you could drop into a folder on the device over usb? It'd be so much easier

Could've been annoying. Was wondering whether I'd have to send the frame back I've just ordered and buy it it again with £40 off but they've put the price up by £80, so no. Also tried the code on some forks on my maybe list and it accepted the code but didn't take the money off. Maybe its non sale items?

Was tempted by the Escarpe, Sommet and Mega - tricky one because I only need the Escarpe (I don’t even need that) but for £40 extra I could have had a Super Deluxe with the Sommet - trouble is for less than £200 extra I could have a carbon Mega…

anyway, it’s gone up now and £600 is still a bargain, it’s just less attractive than £520. So as I don’t need a full sus frame I’ve settled on the Sommet for £360 with the Super Deluxe shock. I’ve got a 170mm shaft for my Lyriks and everything else will swap over.

£360 is ludicrous

Beware these little deals or you'll spend loads on the small stuff and something big will come along leaving you unable to afford or justify another big purchase.

A bit like the starters on an all you can eat buffet.

Well that was a nice surprise need some new tyres for my Gravel bike and wiggle/CRC have 40c Nano TCS Light/Fast on for £12.99 each so I thought I'd give them a whirl, they've got other WTB TCS gravel tyres like Ventures and crossboss on for between 18-25 quid too, but I went for the cheapest option (as ever)...

They just work, I think the only difference between the 11 and 12 speed Deore mech is the colour of the writing on it.

Just a heads up the CRC/Wiggle returns are no longer free and need to be made in 14 days, so not as generous as it was before their site upgrade... Had bought a couple of sizes to try out and returning one and getting charged £2.99 (which is reasonable) more of a pain that their return form you can't identify which size you are returning as it's not shown there... only SKU... which is not shown anywhere else... Anyway back on returns, from their T&Cs;

The order must be returned to Chain Reaction within 14 days of contacting us and return postage must be covered by the purchaser. We recommend you use a tracked and insured delivery method.

Return postage is non-refundable unless you’re returning an item because of our error (damaged, defective, wrong item, etc.). Get in touch with our Customer Services team here before returning an item if there is a problem with it as we may be able to mark the return as free or refund standard postage costs.

Oh and it looks like you have to pay for the return voucher up front (it doesn't come off the refund) and no option to pay PayPal despite showing the logo...

I've bought the Deore 5100 mech to go on my advent x 10 speed setup. current setup works fine but the lever action is heavy at the big end of the cassette. worth a punt for £15.

Somehow the seat-tube being curved just looks a bit nicer on the Big Wig... Although it seems a chunk heavier.
