Satori Sorata
Not the pro which is one of the many gravity dropper clones but this is just a keyed inner post which slides down a 31.6 outer post which a quick release clamp to stop the movement. 24 notes delivered. came today after being ordered last week.
i have to say i'm very impressed with it. good quality and a surprising drop of 160mm. had a quick go in the street and it's very easy to use. i even managed to raise and lock it whilst riding.
it's just for a second bike and it's absolutely ideal for that.
anyone else got one?
So, it's a seatpost?
So it does the same job as a quick release but is more expensive and weighs a metric fucton more.
Genius .......
Don't get it....

Nah, it has 2 advantages over that- it's keyed, so it doesn't go squint. And it'll always go back to teh right height.
there are 2 minor but useful features. it's keyed so there is no lateral movement of the saddle and it will only raise so high so it's easy to pull straight up to normal riding height. all of this makes it's better than a normal post as it can be done whilst riding.
it may turn out to be a white elephant but i think it should be useful.
it doesn't go squint. And it'll always go back to [the] right height.
I was just about to say this.
Titec did something similar a few years ago. If the OP thinks it's great then someone else might like one too 🙂
Cool. Like that Orbea one. Looks like a good idea.
I want to know what happened to the decathlon ones. 30 quid, perfectly fine with under saddle lever to activate it. Mine's doing sterling service still - why have they disappeared from the market?
not a bad idea i suppose.. but the new version of the RSP dropper is only 85 quid most places. a decent entry into the world of droppers. (so far!)
+1 on the he cheap decathlon one.. Still have mine and still working ok

Fixed 😉
Wouldn't it be really handy if it was also spring loaded, so that when you undid the QR it sprung the saddle back to the rite hite?
I had a hite rite, it was shi... not very good.
The Decathlon ones are now badged as Raleigh's I believe. And they are 5 times the price annoyingly. Mine is going strong 18 months on
I had a Hite Rite, I was, and still am 25 years later :-), too light or should I say lite to actually lower the saddle without getting off and pushing it down.
good idea in my eyes, with not very much to go wrong, unlike every single dropper post ever invented.
and all the neysayers no that i am not wrong.
