Are they any good? All the reviews I've found just say 'good all round tyre'.
Anyone care to expand?

These aren't the 'officially' tubeless ready ones. The 'team issue' ones are those.

EDIT: I take it back they are TLR! What's the difference, sidewall strength? weight?

Nice, I've got these on my 29er, good fast all rounder, go up very easy tubeless, 4 for the normal rrp price of one! 😀

I think the expert version are a bit heavier with thicker sidewalls - not a bad thing imho

Good grippy tyre for the front , all year round use.

Been using these XR4. Tyres for a while now.

Good rear tyre for the winter months, but will change to something like a Maxxis Ardent Race on the rear for spring / summer riding.

Glad peeps have found it useful.

Can't imagine them being too draggy. Certainly seen people running then front and rear and I'll likely use one next winter once my HD dies.

I use the Team version F&R on my Ragley. I originally got them for winter but they're so good I just leave them on all year round.

As the tyres were so cheap, I thought it sensible to pay £1.99 for express delivery so they get dispatched today hopefully.

If anyone wants a couple, I've got two turning up that I don't need (impulse buy) I phoned rutland to cancel the order, but they had already been shipped this morning.

Your's for £15 + postage (probably a couple of quid with a cheap courier)

Email in profile.

Mine arrived this morning. Was a pain fitting to my Ryde rims. 60g lighter than a 2.4 High Roller 2. Not sure the difference to the Ardent 2.4 on the back yet.

Seem comparable size wise to the Maxxis.

So about 100g heavier than the 2.4 Ardent, but a smidge wider across the tread too.

Installed one on my fs to replace a purgatory I put a large slit in earlier today. Used it last week on my 905-seemed good but too wide for that bike. Perfect for my fs though. Glad I ordered as I'd have been stuck!

Have just had to email Rutland as one of them is badly mishapen side to side. Have refitted several times, beads are seated even but massive wobble side to side that actually prevents the bike being ridden no handed.

Fitted mine last night. Went on and stayed up with a track pump and no sealant. Great size, larger than the 2.3 Maxxis they've Replaced so perfect for my HT. thanks OP for the PSA.

Look great on my Habit if they are as good as the reviews will probably stay on all year round. Glad I ordered a spare set. 😀

Well, good to see that a few bought these tyres, great bargain.

I use the XR4's front and rear in the winter months, but just removed the rear one. prefer the Maxxis Ardent Race for our summer/ drier months.

Always go up easily tubeless, using the Airshot to bang them onto the rims.,

I'm going to run these front and rear also if things really get drier I will probably swap the rear out , perhaps an Ardent race I've never run one so not sure how they are grip wise in the corners or my favourite the Minion SS. Anyone run any of the other Bontrager offerings on the rear?

XR3 on the rear, good rear tyre, and ok on the front in drier conditions.

Prefer the safety of the XR4. Upfront these days though.

Ardent Race is fine on the rear when it's drier, slips around a little in poorer conditions though.

I run XR4 front/XR3 rear during the wetter months, switch to XR2 front/XR1 rear for summer. The XR2 is roughly the same as a Maxxis Ikon. The XR2/1 combo is for full day XC rides where rolling resistance not aggressive grip is a priority.

Another XR4 front, XR3 rear here. Bob, will you be running xr2/1 for the South Lakes 100 or is that just for Dales?

Will probably have swapped over by then in readiness for the HT550, the XR4/3 were a bit OTT for the Mary Towneley Loop yesterday as things were very dry.
