Hopefully be useful for someone, I'd have had a medium or medium long AM9 frame myself but no chance of that unfortunately.

Some decent prices on presumably fixed spec full builds also.

Hmmm, very tempted, that's not so much more than repairing my kona.

Must not...
Should not...
Probably won't...

Anyone know what the difference between the v1, V2 and v3 is?

V1 had the most progressive linkage fitted which is perfect for coil especially when pushing hard. V2 saw revised cable routing and the RRR link which is slightly less progressive but still great for coil when it comes to most riders. V3 saw a 20mm shorter seatube, stiffer back end and stronger front to allow 170mm forks. V1 and V2 are 150 front. No geometry changes as far as I remember

Are Bird doing okay? Seems odd to be having all of these sales, especially as some of the frames are still current generation. Hopefully just a clear out.

Yeah we're doing ok thanks for asking. Stuff is taking longer to clear as the market is slow and we built up alot of random stock through covid so just cleaning house before new models start to drop later this year.

Is the RRR link still available to 'upgrade' a V1 frame? or do these V1 frames come with it?

I'm sorely tempted, it's a shame you can't buy frame only at £440 as I could use the shock from my am160 and can't justify spending over £600 (even though I know it's an absolute bargain)

It’s a shame they don’t have the Aether in the sale, 150mm travel on the Aeris is way OTT for what I need.

They might do frame minus shock for existing Bird owners, worth asking

The V1 linkage is popular so imagine you'd get a swap for the RRR linkage on the Bird owners FB page Wildhunter2009..
