Looks good for tomorrow as well. Because of the forcast they were giving all this week we were going to keep low level and do iron kield and loughrigg. But if it's as good as they say it will be I fancy helvellyn and he descent down dollywagon pike. Been up there twice and when we got to the top we could see precisely sod all. 🙁 would be nice to have some good visability up there for a change.

Same cant be said about helvellyn today. Set off from garstang this morning in brilliant sunshine. Got to Glenridding carpark and it was cloudy 😕

bjj.andy.w - Two of my mates and myself did the same route as you today by the looks of things! It was cloudy all the way up but when we stopped for a bite to eat at the top, the sun came out. Which way did you come down, Dollywagon Pike? We did, it was excellent...first time I'd done it. 😀

D45yth- we did indeed come down dollywaggon pike. First time down that way for us too. They say nan bield is technical but IMO it's a walk in the park compared to what we did today. Managed to get down without falling off all the way down to grisedale tarn, thinking, phew, I did it and took my eye of the ball. I then promptly went otb three times before I got to the climbing hut 😳 Saw the helicopter above us when we were near the end of the bridalway just before you get back into glenridding carpark.

Grand day out on Hellvellyn although I would not recommend the route from Dockray along matterdale common up to Great Dodd twas energy sapping!! rest of the ride was fine but felt out of my comfort zone on Dollywagon Pike only rode about a third of it but I was on my own.Must of just missed you guys did not see any other bikers.
