£3k for the full carbon foundation bike

£2k for the alloy foundation bike.

Finance available too. Given the price of the frames alone these seem pretty darn good to me.

I don't know if that's a bargain in most people's eyes! And it's still a lot more than I paid for my 2nd hand 2015 T275c. They are absolutely wonderful though

Oldejeans - you could be right.

I think I'm just overexcited as I may have just ordered the T275C 😀

Any hints or tips or recommended upgrades? I'm just getting the cheapo one alas

Keep looking at these, if Merlin had them in black I'd be over there in 15 minutes to have a look.

Congratulations.

I'm running oval n/w 34T with a 11-42 sunrace MX3 cassette
CCDB due a service but it's been faultless so far.
Wheels aren't the greatest but they came along at the right time at the right price. I still like the look of them and they've not exploded yet.

They do have some sizes in black!

I need a large so had to go for the red which I hope looks like the above and not orange as it does on the intense site!

Can someone buy all the black ones. I really should be spending money on more important things (apparently).

Stuck between the Pro at Merlin and the Expert elsewhere.

Only differences I can see are that the Pro is full Sram/RCT3 and the Expert is full Shimano/RC.

Seeing as I prefer Shimano is there any other reason to go for the Pro?

And will I regret a PF bb?

WMB say the rtc3 are noticeably better if that counts?

I pretty much ignore what magazines say now .. Doesn't the RTC3 have the same damper as the RC but just with more adjustability?

On another note, having ordered the "red" one I'm worried that I'll hate the colour as all the pics I can find online of the newer ones show them looking distinctly orange!

Eek

@bluearsedfly

I'm now on my 3rd PF bb after two Enduro BBs didn't last very long. No creaks though whilst the bearings were still intact. I've just replaced with a cheapo shimano, and I'll be a bit more careful to avoid the BB area and cable routing holes if I'm hosing it down.

A woman's logic.

Going to have to try and get a demo on one.

Can't help but be put off by the pf bb.

It's arrived! 😀

Yes the orange is Very orange but it's growing on me (I was worried that I'd hate it and have to send it back)

I remember when STW mag tested this and I thought what a poverty spec to put on a potentially great bike.

If I was buying again I'd buy a Meta V4

Yeah the spec of the Foundation model is pretty low but serviceable. However, what I paid is only slightly more than the price of the frame and forks alone.

My biggest challenge currently is that there's no routing for a non stealth reverb. I really don't want to have to buy a new one given the current prices!

Pic to follow

Hora - I'm really not sure now. I bought my existing non stealth reverb from bikeshoo.de
For about £170 eighteen months ago.

However they all seem to be at least £220 now.

Btw new bike weight is 28.8lb without pedals or dropper (so 30.8) which isn't at all bad considering the cheap spec.

Ok, shameless picture time. The pic doesn't really show the almost "hi viz" element to the orange - it's brighter than it looks.
