Don't know about you but if I ever drive up to Glentress I come off the A74(M) at J15, go through Moffat and up the A708 then turn left up the B709.
If you're planning on using that route on Easter Saturday, be aware that there's a big road race going for most of the day on in/around the Moffat area right up towards Abington (J13 for Edinburgh) which may result in temporary road closures or traffic delays. Moffat town centre will certainly be a nightmare with road closures.
