It says the cut is ok for knee pads…do they need to be low profile or will some bulky Bliss enduro ones fit in there?
And are they warm enough for winter or are they a spring/autumn thing?
cheers though, tempted!
I get lightweight knee pads under them but I am quite slim / medium. they are single layer / water resistant stretchy material and I get away with bib shorts in anything above 5 degrees, would like go for knee warners under that and wouldn't think of wearing them in the summer.
Best of all for me is there appear to little need to wash them - just hang them to dry then brush the mud off
What’s the sizing like on these? As per size guide?
I want to like riding pants😃😋 but they are a nuisance. Why don they have bibs or braces?
Merak, add some clip on work braces.
Look good and I fancy a pair but like @dander wondering on the fit. I’m a 30” waist , always a small but according to their chart I need an extra small.
Same here, I'm a 33" waist and 6'1", will small be long enough?
I’m a 33-34 inch waist and the medium fits perfectly over a pair of bib shorts without falling - I’d say errr on the side that they are slightly smaller at the waist. I’ve an 83cm inside leg and they sit perfectly over the tops of my boots. They do narrow a the ankle for that purpose.
Is it just me, or is it a bit daft not listing leg length in their size chart? A rather important bit of info when buying trousers...
I bought some of the waterproof trews last year in a small and they were massive round my 31" ish waist.
Hmmm, looks like I’m between small and medium. Will try the mediums I think for longer leg length.
I find Altura always comes up a bit small so if in doubt, I'd size up.
Are the sizes like Jeans (vanity sizing) or actual measured sizes?

I havent bought anything of theirs for a while now but I always thought the opposite!
Went with the £30 ones, then ended up buying loads more in their sale, fail!
nixie

Sounds like a win to me!
I'm always undecided with trousers for riding. I got some Fohn ones. They are great trousers, but so ridiculously long, that they needed adjusting.
I'm 30" inside leg and they were advertised as 32" so I knew they would need a bit lopping off. But I reckon I had 4" taken off and probably could have done with another inch.
Just checked my old orders, my last pair of Attack waterproof shorts were a Large (36-38) and I remember them being snug (I wear 36" jeans for comparison) so I'd say it's marginal.
So if you have 34" jeans and wear a belt, go with the 34-36. If you have 34" jeans but they're a bit snug and you really should go up a size in January, get the 36-38.
Like is said, I’m a 33/34 and the mediums are just right. Ymmv
Im normally a 32L. My first pair of altura w/proof shorts were XL cinched in with the huge velcro waist adjusters
last pair were medium and still too big with the teeny tiny waist adjusters cinched up
about a decade between the 2 purchases tho so dunno if their sizing has changed (I still had the old ones as backup until recently so its not me who has changed)
Cant decide between L and M eskers. Likely to need braces for either, but dont want masses of material flapping about in L or the ankle cuffs coming up short on the M
Can anyone advise?
cross post with Kryton, are you 33-34ish waist or 33 waist 34 leg?
33-34 waist, 83cm inside leg.

you all know you can order several sizes and return the ones that don’t fit, right?
I've got a medium pair. I'm 34" waist and 32" leg. They fit fine. The waist has belt loops in case you are worried. The legs are a tiny bit short but they don't seem to ride up so not a problem. Not much room for pads. Probably not best with a bulky pair.
the whole Altura site is 50% off...
First ride yesterday on mine. Surprisingly comfortable and seemed to dry quickly. Can't see how you'd get pads under them at all though. The ankles are very tight going over the foot so need to be careful there is I can see them getting damaged.
Agreed with above, mine came on Saturday, tried them on and fit fine, same as the on-one trail trousers, if i was more 34/35" waist they would be too tight. (on a medium)
A good way of keeping myself in check over the xmas break!!
