YOu may already have received the email from Alpkit.

But I ordered some 20L and 13L drybags from their factory seconds batch last week and they arrived today.

https://www.alpkit.com/products/airlok-xtra-factory-seconds

Despite Alpkit's reservations in their product description, Ive given the clips a good pull and dont see much wrong with them at all. The straps and strap eyelets look really useful. Cant believe no one thought of doing similar before...

The 13 Litre is perfect size for a handle bar or post rack. The 20L ones will go nicely in my motorbike hardcases.

at £7.50 and £8.50 each, I reckon theyre a steal.

BTW - just had a thought and went out to check...

the eyelet on the end panel of the 20L is big enough to take a seat post, so you could thread the 20L bag on to the post then fit a lightweight post rack underneath it, strap it on, and it's not going anywhere.

The 13L has smaller strap eyelets and wont take even a 27.2mm

PS: also, note they dont come with the shoulder strap shown in the Airlok Extra page, but they do have the d ring on the closure so you can fit your own to make a waterproof shoulder bag.

Lomo bags are also great value, although shipping costs are high if you can't collect

as soon as micro me starts skool full time in a few weeks I was thinking of risking travelling as far north as Hebden Bridge. I'll drop you a line.

EDIT: [s]80[/s] 76.5 hippy-yoghurt-tree-hugging miles per gallon.

I think Poddy has one of these.

I think Poddy has one of these.

Is that meant to be some sort of recommendation 🙂

I don't suppose anyone knows the approx weight of these? Looking for a lighter-weight commuting option than my Ortlieb pannier! I'm guessing the 13L one would be most appropriate for a rack?

13L: 153g and 154g
20L: 203g and 208g

Depends on your rack.

the 20L I reckon if full needs about 45cm x 15cm of support.
the 13L would need around 36cm x 12cm
